Voted 1 each for Hamza, Tony and Ellie T. Ellie T and Johannes are so funny. Hamza is lovely. Tony is trying hard and doesn't deserve to be marked lower than Jayde who hardly does any dance steps.

Jayde really needs to go, it's painful.

Helen and Gorka's Charleston made me smile, it was a lot of fun. Think she's fine without my vote.

It's taken me a few weeks this year to really care about any of the contestants. I would like Hamza, Helen, Will in the final.

woodhill · 22/10/2022 21:42

Neil in cringey superman look

Why does he not partner one of the contestants?

UrsulaPandress · 22/10/2022 21:45

Jayde is fat and can’t dance.

And I say that as someone who is fat and used to be able to dance. Or thought I could …

woodhill · 22/10/2022 21:46

Is it because of the same sex aspect as Ritchie has gone?

I don't think Neil is very good at working in partnership with celebrities. When he partnered Alex Scott he never got the best out of her but the week he was injured and Kevin stepped in there was a massive improvement in both her dance ability and confidence.

JemimaTab · 22/10/2022 21:50

I did wonder that maybe the producers would “like” a same sex partnership to win this year, and that’s why Jayde is being pushed so much. But they’ve forgotten we have eyes, and can see that what the judges are saying doesn’t match how the dance actually went.
If she’s in the dance off, I think they’d save her over pretty much anyone else.

Neil, you’re a dick.

Why is Neil a dick?

But how often can they save her over others who are clearly better??

Last year, John and Johannes were really good and would have been worthy winners if Rose hadn't become the Nation's Sweetheart.
Jayde just isn't good, regardless of who her partner is.

Maireas · 22/10/2022 22:16

I think they'll save her until the final.

keepcalm11 · 22/10/2022 22:16

What about if they make Neil a judge, and then he's guaranteed a spot in the limelight and wont have to photo bomb behind Claud .
Opinions plaese ?

I really hope not, it might put future celebs off from signing up if the voting isn't fair.

Exactly.
And IMO John and Johannes would have won any other year. I thought they were brilliant. Jayde isn’t anywhere near that standard.

UrsulaPandress · 22/10/2022 22:23

Jayde couldn’t hold a candle to John.

Or an iced finger.

Bobbybobbins · 22/10/2022 22:34

I was a bit disappointed tonight as many of the routines were forgettable. Favourites were Hamza as such a joy to watch, Will as enjoyed that it was quite different and Ellie S - Nikita's choreography for her is amazing.

multicolouredblouse · 22/10/2022 23:02

I don't like the way the judges sat laughing as they were giving their comments to Tony. Seems unprofessional to me. I think he's doing his best and looks a bit hurt at them not taking him seriously.

Clawdy · 22/10/2022 23:07

If Jayde is in the dance off, they will save her no matter who she is up against. Not sure why, it is very odd. I couldn't believe it when Shirley B said she was an "outstanding dancer." What is going on?

PrincessScarlett · 22/10/2022 23:14

It makes a whole mockery of the show to call Jayde an outstanding dancer. I've never heard anything so ridiculous. She is clearly not an outstanding dancer. Do the judges think we are all stupid?

I feel sorry for anyone having to face her in a dance off. And if she is saved by the judges week after week then the viewers will start turning off.

If the judges had marked Jayde correctly then she might be more likeable. And she is with Karen after all who is definitely a fan favourite.

WeAreTheHeroes · 22/10/2022 23:15

For a classic comic song, Jayde's dance to the Ballad of Freda and Barry was the only time I haven't found it funny. There wasn't enough energy or humour. I've just watched Victoria Wood As Seen on TV and it was in the episode shown tonight. Back to being hilarious even though I've heard it thousands of time.

Which is a long winded way of saying Jayde was overmarked.

GreenTeaPingPong · 22/10/2022 23:22

Re Jayde being overmarked, the only reason I can think of is that the judges are treating her as if she has a disability. They can't mark Ellie S down for not being able to do something outside of her physical ability, and in the same way they're making allowances for Jayde not really being able to move around much (which is a bit of a drawback in a dance competition).

xsquared · 22/10/2022 23:55

I'm not sure why everyone thinks Jade will be saved above others no matter who she's up against. She wasn't better than those who got higher marks than her, and she certainly wasn't better than Kym.

I agree that she did very little dancing in her Charlestone. Don't think I even saw a swivel step.

Tonight's show was very lacklustre for me and the theme tunes just didn't work most of the time.

I loved Molly last week but her dance was abysmal this week, so I gave her a vote along with 2 for Tony.he

Topgub · 23/10/2022 00:24

Just watched

Surely Jayde has to go.

She stomped about while Karen danced about her.

Everyone else was amazing.

Including Tony

Totally agree

IReallyLikeCrows · 23/10/2022 01:16

There is no way the judges would save Jayde ahead of anyone. They might save her against Tony if those two were in tonight's dance off - yes it would be unfair - but put her in a dance off with most of the others and she'd be gone.

I don't think she'll make it to the final or anywhere near it.

IReallyLikeCrows · 23/10/2022 01:17

N.b. I've not seen spoilers, so Jayde/Tony is an example. I doubt Tony will be in the dance off tonight. I bloody hope not.

JemimaTab · 23/10/2022 01:28

I feel that Tony probably has a pretty good pre-existing fan base throwing him some votes, and that will keep him safe for a bit. (Pure speculation). Not sure whether the same would apply to the likes of Fleur/Molly.
