Jayde wasn't as awful as I thought she'd be after seeing the comments here !!

Did Tess say something about Ellie being pregnant and congratulations after the judges had spoken? I've rewound it but can't hear what she said but sounded like pregnant !!

"They're all talking about your improvement, so congratulations."

lollipoprainbow · 23/10/2022 12:46

@Twonewcats need a hearing test ! Improvement if nothing like pregnant !!

I need a hearing test or you need a hearing test? 🤔

woodhill · 23/10/2022 13:10

Love the new verses, singing them out to DH

Voted for Tony, Tyler and Helen

Please go Jayde

lollipoprainbow · 23/10/2022 13:16

@Twonewcats me !

Figgygal · 23/10/2022 13:17

If I had watched last Night I'd have voted Kim, hamza and Ellie s
Probably not surprising that two of those were not to awful theme tunes

EvilRingahBitch · 23/10/2022 13:24

And Dance of the Knights wasn't written as a Theme Tune, it was written for people to dance to, and just happens to have been adopted by the Apprentive. It has previously been used for a straight paso (possibly by Brendan?).

@Twonewcats me !

Lol I wasn't sure 😅
Yes, once you know what she says, it's obvious 😅

awaynboilyurheid · 23/10/2022 13:51

The new verses are brilliant! Well done 👏

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 23/10/2022 14:27

I love the verse with Shirley's response. Grin

Rewatching last night’s show...

I can’t do it,
I can’t do it,
I cannot leave my views unknown;
Histrionics, late comics, a charity for garden gnomes!
Karen’s leading, my heart’s bleeding
So nobody can see I’m putting two left feet in,
I can’t do it,
I can’t get the steps ri-i-ightttt!

ilovesooty · 23/10/2022 15:05

I've almost finished catching up. I can't believe Jayde was so overmarked. I'd much rather keep watching Tony.

Glad Will improved and Hamza was a delight.

KimberleyClark · 23/10/2022 15:19

Was out last night so couldn’t watch or vote. All caught up now. Few idle thoughts

Thought both Shirley and Motsi looked absolutely beautiful.
Loved Hamza, Tony, Helen and Ellie S. Thought Ellie N’s Tango was a bit meh.

Thought Will and Nancy’s VW was a bit OTT but Strictly does seem to be moving further and further away from classical ballroom.

Bit worried about James and Amy.

LucyLastikk · 23/10/2022 15:30

Could someone who knows more than I do about music/dancing explain how the Line Of Duty theme was used for a Viennese waltz? It starts off in 3/4 time then clearly speeds up and switches to 4/4 half way through. I was waiting for one of the judges to pick up on it, but they didn't!

BoreOfWhabylon · 23/10/2022 15:37

Delurking to applaud @ArcaneWireless !
Body positivity is one thing, but it shouldn't mean normalising and celebrating morbid obesity.

gingercat02 · 23/10/2022 15:42

Only watched this morning so haven't fully caught up on the thread, but WTF was the marking all about.

Also theme weeks are the worst but at least stick to the blooming theme. It's hardly the same dancing to an actual song v a theme tune.
I'm really falling out of love with Strictly 😪

MavisChunch29 · 23/10/2022 15:46

I prefer a gay paso any day.

stockpilingallthecheese · 23/10/2022 16:05

Thought the whole thing was shite, very disappointing! Especially after last week which was fantastic. Worried that the judges seem totally blind to Jayde and a much better dancer will end up going home in a dance off against her (and will have horrible flashbacks to Aston Merrigold)

Bluevelvetsofa · 23/10/2022 16:38

Aston Merrygold was a travesty.

I don’t get the love for Tony at all. All the ex footballers must be voting for him. I’d like a dance off between Jayde and Tony, with both going. Failing that, one can go this week and one next.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 23/10/2022 16:52

just watching got on catch up
love hamza
nikita is an awesome choreographer
Mollie's parents looked murderous don't think they like their little princess not being told she's wonderful
havent watched Jayde yet but after last weeks histrionics I'm hoping she doesn't last much longer

SoupDragon · 23/10/2022 16:53

I'm not an ex footballer.

i love him for his enthusiasm and a willingness to go for it. He has to put so much more effort in because he has never had any kind of dance experience at all. Unlike many of the others in the competition. He doesn't have the acting skills to put in all fhe "performance" bits either. I'd rather see him improve than some stage school graduate coasting.

Canthinkofaname79 · 23/10/2022 17:00

It's getting a bit nasty to jayde on here, saying about wobbly belly. If she saw that she would be devastated.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 23/10/2022 17:06

since it is a popularity contest
i reckon tony will go far, as will both ellies and hamza
kim, molly and helen are in troulbe, as is jayde, and james

ArcaneWireless · 23/10/2022 17:08

It was about me. I’m entitled to yap on and lament my wobbly belly. 🥴

I put ‘I’ and ‘my’ in it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m fat. I shamble. I can’t move with grace.

Wondering now if I should be devastated.

ArcaneWireless · 23/10/2022 17:09

Sorry - that was to ‘can’t think of a name’
