Just binge watched them all on Netflix, wow it’s so amazing I can’t believe I missed it when it was originally on!

has anyone else watched this?

Didn’t Whitman marry Polly in real life?!

ZittiEBuoni · 20/10/2022 22:43

I was obsessed with this when it was on originally - better than Line of Duty imo.

Yes he did!

Runningnewbie · 20/10/2022 22:56

I wonder if they are still married?! Roger Hurleys character was brilliant and nuanced as well, so well written and acted.

I binged it a few months ago and loved it. Joe was it missed on bbc?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 21/10/2022 00:04

I've watched it a couple of times,it's brilliant.

RaininginDarling · 21/10/2022 00:07

The best thing he's written by a long chalk. Nice to see it get another outing.

EarringsandLipstick · 21/10/2022 07:01

I found this recently too & loved it. Utterly gripping, superb acting.

I think Season 1 was the best, I didn't really like where Max Beesley's character evolved to at the end.

Donna & Rob were great together - as well as dysfunctional.

I thought the nuance of Roger's character was super; he was awful but also a sympathetic character.

My brother who is a consultant obstetrician watched it too & really liked it. I expected him to say that it was exaggerated & overdone but surprisingly he said the medical events were very believable, including the doctors' reactions. (Albeit the likelihood of any one doctor experiencing so many unusual events was slim!)

cathyandclare · 21/10/2022 07:05

They were just filming the next season of this in Leeds and Hull. Do more to come!

garlicandsapphires · 21/10/2022 07:08

Absolutely brilliant. I had a real soft spot for Whitman by the end.

Runningnewbie · 21/10/2022 08:08

@cathyandclare really?! They are making another series of it?!?

Really? That would be excellent!

I loved Cardiac Arrest-would really like to watch those again.

Really? It's so old that I'm amazed they're doing another season. Would be fab if they did!

I'm another who loved it too. Didn't realise it was on Netflix so will have to give it a watch. Definitely glad I was done having children before watching it though!

GlorifiedChair · 21/10/2022 08:33

Loved Bodies! Not surprisingly it's realistic when it's at least partly based on Mercurio's real life experiences as a hospital doctor.

Can't imagine there being another series getting filmed now though!

Shinyandnew1 · 21/10/2022 08:44

www.whats-on-netflix.com/news/bodies-netflix-series-everything-we-know-so-far-07-2022/amp/

There is a new Netflix series coming out called Bodies. Don’t think it’s anything do with this though.

NigellasGuest · 21/10/2022 08:49

Is this the one with the voiceless management bod carefully and deliberately eating biscuits at important moments? I loved that!!

I don't know if they married but they have a daughter and appear to still be together.

It was such a good show but I'm very glad I watched it long before I had children!! Whatever happened to Max Beesley?

Runningnewbie · 21/10/2022 09:13

@NigellasGuest yes it was!!! So funny 😆

Ahhh- could well be the new Netflix series. It started Stephen Graham and no sign of previous Bodies stars out and about.

Sorry for spreading false info!

TitsInAbsentia · 21/10/2022 10:29

I binged on Bodies as it was mentioned by someone in a podcast, can't believe I never saw it first time around as it was brilliant. CJD was huge at the time it was written/made. Some of those prosthetic fanjos with babies crowning were grim...well, I hope they were prosthetic!

XanaduKira · 21/10/2022 12:11

Good question @KillingMeDeftly - at one point he was earmarked as being the next 'big thing' but I've not seen or heard of him being in anything in years! Wonder what he's doing now?

They’re now filming another series? It’s so long afterwards. I’m excited now!

Oh just saw the update! Gutted!
