"Love Is Blind season 3 premieres with the first four episodes on Wednesday (Oct. 19) at 3 a.m. ET.

Episodes 5-7 will drop Oct. 26, episodes 8-10 will come out Nov. 2, and the finale and reunion is scheduled for Nov. 9."

I'm really going to try not to binge the first four in one sitting 😂

"People on the thread and online in general. I'm obviously not saying 'everyone who gets his name wrong is a racist' but as I say, it's shown on screen and spoken regularly throughout the show, how hard can it be to spell it correctly?"

My name is in my email address and signature at work and still people reply with the wrong spelling. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think you are looking for a problem where there isn't one.

So how do we get to the situation where all the women are pretending the relationships are fine and they've worked through their issues on the hen night.
And on the bucks night all the men are moaning and complaining about the women?

Was it keeping up with the Joneses, not wanting to admit there were canyon sized cracks in their relationships when no one else was?
The socialisation of Texas women, that they're brought up to put up with crumbs?
Just the reality that they're really desperate for marriage and kids?

burnoutbabe · 04/11/2022 19:47

Maybe, cynically, we feel sorrier for the lady who gets dumped at the alter, and she gets more attention. Than the one who says no thanks herself.

jay55 · 04/11/2022 20:42

Last season Deeps got the best reaction for saying no and Giannina didn't get much sympathy for being dumped in season 1, but she did have an extreme reaction.
Jessica was disliked long before she said no due to the Barnett situation.

And I've basically forgotten if any other women made the choice themselves....oops

I only feel sorry for them if I feel they've been robbed of the opportunity to say no first, but I think it's engineered in a certain way perhaps? I sometimes feel like should we hear their spiel and then have them count to three and both hold up a card that says yes/no 😂

It's like unmarried at first sight, they always tell the me who goes first for maximum drama so it's usually always the unsure person who is last. No mystery if the keen as mustard person goes first.

ncforyetanotherone · 05/11/2022 22:40

But his name literally appears on screen numerous times. It's not a difficult name

Do you think everyone looks at the names every time they appear on screen?

countdowntonap · 06/11/2022 08:14

The only couple I’ve heard mention a pre-nup is Alexa and Brennan. Do you think they all have meetings with lawyers arranged by the Love is Blind team? Obviously not shown on camera as it would be quite boring!

caggie3 · 06/11/2022 08:26

Are the weddings legally binding or is it like MAFS where they aren't actually married?

It's not me looking for a problem though, it's come from other people who actually know better than I do. The fact you're all outright dismissing the idea that it IS considered a microaggression says a lot. But it is mumsnet.

I assume none of them are real. But they would need a pre-nup for later when really marrying each other.

Though in the USA version of married at first sight it's real weddings (not real in uk and Australia)

Not really what I was doing it may be considered micro aggression to some people, but some people seem to want to be offended about everything these days!
I am saying people can spell names wrong a lot even when it's right in front of them, the fact is I for one had never seen that name or heard it in my life. I try my best to spell things correctly but in the flow of typing may not go to the programme or Google to spell check. This is not some form of micro aggression the same as people at work spelling my name incorrectly despite it being in my email address and signature is not micro aggression.

His name is Bartise.

It’s perhaps a misspelling if it’s Barteese but Bartiste is just a different name.

It’s like calling someone Sandra instead of Sarah.

Also, see:

Weefreetiffany · 06/11/2022 14:06

Chandler is being controlling, jealous and possessive of his relationship there, hurting his own feelings with an imaginary scenario! Is that what you meant? He was famous for self loathing and self destructive behaviour so not exactly a moral high ground?

I will also join the others who have said Autocorrect changed it to Bartiste for them. I caught it, but not everyone has time to proof read. I say this as someone who’s non-anglo name is frequently misspelled and mispronounced for a variety of reasons. Perhaps that is why I caught it?

I feel like this is becoming a derail of the thread. I’d happily follow a new thread about these issues, but can there also be space for silly gossip about the relationships, the contestants and show?

Yep. I felt sorry for Raven when SK said no but then I remembered they've known each other a matter of weeks and she'll have forgotten all about him before long. Unless they are still together.

The weddings are real and legally binding.

If you're a 26 year old man and don't want to have sex 4 weeks into a relationship with a woman as hot as Nancy... I'm going to go ahead and call it. Women are not for you.

Men might not even be for him. He just needs a mirror. He's Bartiseasexual

jay55 · 06/11/2022 21:06

The weddings are real, Iyanna has talked about getting a divorce from Jared.

If you're complaining that your boyfriend/girlfriend of 4 weeks always wants to have sex, the last thing you should do is get married. That is basically ALL most people want to do that early on.

Found this podcast the other day which was a funny listen whilst doing the ironing. They also cover MAFS, Love Island etc when airing.

Chris and Dave's Reality TV cast

@TitsInAbsentia this podcast mentioned earlier is brilliant! If you’re still looking for one to listen to

Ah thanks! As it happens I downloaded theirs the other day - quite liked it, was nice to listen to two guys discussing it as you get a slightly different spin!

Raven wanted and expected SK to pay half her rent once they were married, and while he was a student at Berkely. She may have shown her more endearing and charming side in the wedding episode, but that uncomfortable fact remains. I can see why SK found her inflexible.

Yes, this! That was very strange. Especially as she’s choosing to stay in Dallas - as opposed to moving to Berkeley where I’m sure they also need Pilates instructors…?

RandomCatGenerator · 07/11/2022 23:39

Bartise is THE WORST. Poor poor Nancy. I rally hope she says no.

jay55 · 08/11/2022 08:53

Since her wedding is over I've started folllowing Raven on Instagram and find I quite like her.
I still believe she wanted to boost her profile and make money from the show rather than find someone, but she's forgiven, for her put down of Bartise if nothing else.

When is the next episode out?
