I think Zanab and Cole really bring out the worst in each other. The bipolar question was unforgivable. That said it does seem that she is often criticising him.

Having originally not warmed to Raven I came to really like her. What a jerk SK was - if you really loved someone you would tell them before the ceremony. I would also not put my family through that.

Raven wanted and expected SK to pay half her rent once they were married, and while he was a student at Berkely. She may have shown her more endearing and charming side in the wedding episode, but that uncomfortable fact remains. I can see why SK found her inflexible.

I saw an article somewhere saying about the way Bartise constantly indirectly calls her ugly. Why can't she see it?

Not really sure why SK was on the show if he's moving to be a student. So he was expecting to find a Nigerian who would be submissive, follow and look after him?

Bartise and Cole are immature and don't really like who they are paired with - they are doing of to stay in the show. Alexa hasn't found a rich husband here - her dad is so focussed on the money side and that really came through.

None of these couples are marrying.

I'm baffled as to why the women are wearing such ill fitted, cheap looking clothes. Is the show sponsored by SHEIN or something? Alexa and Nancy especially wearing some god awful gear.

I think Raven really doesn't appreciate the significance of a guy from Nigeria getting a full scholarship to an Ivy League institution. SK is made once he gets his Masters in just a very short 2 years. Having said that, I wouldn't be wearing a paper turban to my wedding if I looked like Raven. The influence of his family is very off putting. Pity, because he seemed different. Agree that his brother is beautiful though 🤩

I like Alexa and whatshisface. I think her family are very close and fun loving, it's clear they are supportive of her and she seems lovely despite the shallow front she puts on.

Nothing to do with Afro hair at all, his hair cut is what I was referring to. Doesn't matter if it's straight, curly, blonde, red or black, it looks stupid.

Actually @Merryoldgoat, Alexa's fiancée has a similar haircut which is equally stupid looking. He's more respectful of the women though and doesn't engineer opportunities to put down Alexa in the name of "honesty" so maybe I'm a bit more forgiving of how stupid he looks

Hmmm but Bartise is not a common name in any culture and Brennon/Brennan is getting just as much misspelling. I have a very unusual name that is always getting misspelt and mispronounced. Unfortunately it’s the way of it and usually down to lack of familiarity and autocorrect, rather than hostility.

But his name literally appears on screen numerous times. It's not a difficult name.

Are you talking about the people in the thread or the contestants? Because as an Arabic speaker, I must tell you I’m cringing any time a contestant says her name. But the spelling of that name in the Roman alphabet is not standardised, so no point getting upset when people who don’t know any better write “zineb” for example. IVe had autocorrect change “Bartise” so I would be cautious about assigning bad intention to that.

People on the thread and online in general. I'm obviously not saying 'everyone who gets his name wrong is a racist' but as I say, it's shown on screen and spoken regularly throughout the show, how hard can it be to spell it correctly?
