Dave Arch havin it large.

Quality. I loved that clip.

InABigCountry · 16/10/2022 22:43

Just to say I'm very sad Matt is gone, felt quite emotional watching him tonight. He had definitely improved last week and this week and looked happier. I hope he has good memories of the show.
I don't understand why Jayde, Ellie T and James are being marked so highly. One of them should definitely have been in the dance off. Tony is a but better but still not great.
Hamza is fabulous!

Lampzade · 16/10/2022 22:43

I said in a previous thread that I felt that Matt was a very shy man. Sad to see him go

OttersMayHaveShiftedInTransit · 16/10/2022 22:46

Oh and just to clarify I'm straight, married and middle aged so I don't particularly have anything at stake when it comes to same sex dancing. I just don't roll my eyes and think but we've seen this before when a man and woman dance together so I don't do that when it comes to two men or two women. I'm quite dull and old fashioned when it comes to many aspects of Strictly (bring back week one Cha cha or waltz, cut the faffin' about, the themes, the silly bloody costumes - dare I even say bring back arm hankies) but I can't get huffy about a handful of same sex dances in a sea of hundreds of M/F dances. Couples sodding choice complete with sob story pisses me off, Luba and Karen dancing with each other doesn't.

All of this.

I love me an arm hankie!

Matt mentioned his sister and mum too late. If he had done a jayde he might still be in.

lollipoprainbow · 16/10/2022 22:58

Hated the professionals opening dance, the song was awful.

OttersMayHaveShiftedInTransit · 16/10/2022 23:01

@SequinsandStilettos so are you saying bring back arm hankies or bring back Ian?
Seriously though why does anyone want to see people people dressed as cartoons when they could be looking at swishy frocks and tail coats?

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 16/10/2022 23:04

I didn't particularly enjoy the pro dance either, it made me feel a bit travel sick! Just because you have a steadicam doesn't mean he can't stand still occasionally...

Bring back Ian! For some reason I thought Naga had hankies but she just spent the start wafting instead. I would absolutely have hankies.

Posters here seems to see right through that sort of tactic and hate sob stories.

Gorka crossed a line last night so I'm not surprised Helen looked annoyed with him. Her backstory shouldn't be the reason whether people vote for her or not.

She's been good enough to stay in so far afaic and I voted her because I enjoyed her dance. Nothing to do with the drama.

EvilRingahBitch · 16/10/2022 23:09

Alesha/Matthew loved an arm hanky.

Indeed.

But I’m glad he didn’t go down that route. He came across as a very gentle and gracious gentleman.

And glad he also didn’t feel the need for nose bopping or other affectations.

Just someone doing his best without feeling the need to go down the milkit road.

I’m not doubting personal sadness or difficulties - we all can lay claim to that. But for one, the after performance was quickly dropped once they realised they were likely to be safe.

SequinsandStilettos · 16/10/2022 23:11
Knew I could rely on Erin. Don't know what the beeb are thinking though - if they put in decent quality all the early series, the views they'd get. There must be a way of touching them up, surely.
SequinsandStilettos · 16/10/2022 23:13

Aw thank you. Alesha was lovely.

SequinsandStilettos · 16/10/2022 23:17
Less a hankie. more a bat wing! Would be good for a paso though, like Jayne Torvill's paso skating dress.
