It really brought it home to me how much time police spend on missing people . It makes you wonder if a new service should be set up for social / domestic issues so police can fight actual crime .

It was really sad about Gavin and his situation I thought
And listening his mum 😞
I hope things continue to be on the up for him

Those church people were really dodgy
So the presumably went back to the student's parents and could only tell them they knew he was ok but they were in the dark with no contact from him?
That sounds horrible

I was watching with my Mum who lives with me... She said that Gavin should be looking after his Mum not the other way round...
I got very cross when the man from the church wouldn't help the police!!

I don't think he could look after himself never mind his mum from the looks of it

It must be desperate for the parents of the student . That ' church ' sounds more like a cult . I can see that the police put a lot of store by what the doctor who met him said . Let's hope she wasn't part of the same church . I guess he's an adult and not deemed in danger but still very hard for the parents

Just caught up. I'm also amazed by how much store the police put on the word of one doctor. Who couldn't have seen him for long. Considering he was so unwell, he was in a mental health unit. And you don't a bed in one unless you really to be there. The church thing is seriously dodgy.
