Favourite soap that's no longer running?

Does anyone go back and watch old episodes of soaps? We do that with Brookside a couple of times a week. What's your favourite old soap?

In enjoyed Dallas, Dynasty, The Colbys, Shortland Street and something Australian that I can't remember the name of. I wouldn't go back and watch them now though.

Brookside was definitely the best.

i watched Eldorado one summer holiday from secondary school….the early 90’s were clearly boring as f*ck in Ireland 🙈

I used to enjoy ‘Crossroads’! Who else remembers Meg Richardson, Amy Turtle, Miss Diane, David Hunter, Benny et al? They don’t make them like that any more!

You aren’t, I loved it too. It was spectacularly bad.

Shortland Street. It's still be running in New Zealand but it was pulled in the UK some years ago.

I quite liked Families - joint Australian/British daytime soap. It just ended in the middle of nowhere - I like proper conclusions to soaps if they are going to get cancelled.

Brookside. Getting back from town on a Saturday afternoon to watch the omnibus, lovely memories

Sons and daughters, love and laughter, tears and sadness and happiness!

Eldorado was brilliant! It was my guilty pleasure back then. Lots of sunshine and seriously crap acting.

Brookside was great!

I also liked El Dorado and Brookside.

Neighbours was my ray of sunshine - no matter what was happening storyline wise (or in real life!), it was always sunny in Neighbours!
