@HappyPeach I'm with you there. Can't believe we still have homestay things to watch. I watched live tonight hoping for something to 'happen' but it was a load of predictable waffle...I should have known!

I don't think any of you are focusing on the most important part of this evening's episode.

Also, Thomas talking about his Mum and saying that if she saw something in Adrian that she didn't like she would kick off was quite telling. His poor Dad having to live with that pair of tantrumming toddlers with no filters.

It was weird, like they had not had any discussion of past before the show at all before that scene!

I really felt for Adrian in this episode. Both sets of Thomas's set were just grilling about sex, not about the trust or the hurdles they'd overcome, or how Adrian clearly helps Thomas tame some of his insecurities. Just whether Thomas had cock or not.

I don't think Adrian is asexual - I think he just wants to feel connected to Thomas and he feels he is and then Thomas ends up going 0-60 each time they're with the others and focusing less on the relationship and more on the drama. It's a complete boner killer - I can see that.

Thomas did seem very subdue when meeting his parents, and it seems that his parents have already judged Adrian without really given context as to why.

Sophie's Dad is fucking dreadful.

T&A- felt really bad for Adrian being judged so obviously by Tom's parents and friends (I thought the friends in particular were horrible), I agree with PPs that Adrian can't relax and its a passion killer. Also Tom's mum smiled when Adrian started crying which is what my mum does and it drives me insane.

K&K- How fucking rude was Kwameme laughing when she said she got pregnant at 15 and was in a bedsit. At least she actually looked pissed at him rather than fronting, can't wait for them to leave.

A&G- bleugh, can't see how they'll work outside as George can't be far away from his heartbeats and April doesn't want to give up the city.

J&Z- I like Zoe but WTF that rat?! Disgusting and I couldn't live with it in the FUCKING KITCHEN.

J&C- Seemed all ok, they're communicating well I think.

S&J- Real career woman if she wants to be a SAHM and be 'looked after', her dad had all the class of a worn flip flop and mum looks like a Stepford wife unable to voice her own opinion.

But the episode reiterated that all the couples are shambles really and 99% shouldn't be together

Tom was so subdued. The dynamic with his parents was really odd.
I can't wait till Kasia's friends and family pull Kwame apart. They are not going to take his nonsense.
What struck me was all the visits this week were negative about the relationships. Jose saw through April and George in two minutes. Chanita's mum was suspicious. Zoe's family realised they keep putting off big decisions because they can't agree on anything. Sophie's family realised Johnathan doesn't want the same lifestyle as Sophie.
They were all harder on them than we are! 😄

Well, he has learnt how to tantrum from her, hasn't he? She said showed absolutely no compassion or kindness towards Adrian. They know what Thomas is like, obviously, so they would know he isn't the easiest man to get on with.

I thought this exactly. Especially when his mum said when he was younger she just 'let him go' with his tantrums. I bet she goaded him when he was little & now he's a grown man who goes off like a rocket with little self control. It's a shame because I like Thomas behind the tantrums. And of course Adrian's cautious, he needs authentic connection. Perhaps Ad's sex drive would reappear if Tom could calm a bit.

To be fair to Sophie any man saying to me he wants to be a SAHD would put me I think most women like to know a man is willing to provide if need be. Thomas mum is just horrible had a real nasty streak to her that I can’t put my finger on. Only family I really liked were Zoe’s.

As for k and k. Think it’s blatantly obvious he’s not the least bit into her. Think he will be out in the next commitment ceremony.

Just caught up. Agree none of the families seemed very supportive of the relationships and were looking for negatives!
I thought T&A were doing pretty well together but his friends and family only seemed interested in the sexual aspect. Very odd vibes off his mum and dad, and not supportive towards Adrian at all.
Sophies dad is a bit of a twat, I'm sure she said before she wouldn't mind if her partner wanted to be a SAHD so she could carry on with her super important career!

And April- seems she didn't even take G to where she lives, just central London! She obviously decided to turn up the fakery with oh I've never felt this way about anyone before blah blah bullshit blah

My thoughts after last night.

Firstly why are home stays taking so long with a random dinner party in between?

Kwame & Kasia - did he really not know until now she had a child at 15?! I swear these 2 are in it for the publicity and only cross paths when the cameras are on. Kwame was so rude to laugh at her

Chanita & Jordan - I don’t see what he said at the dinner party was so wrong. Seems sensible to want to only move in with someone when you love them

Johnathan and Sophie - it seems she’s lovely on a normal day and a stuck up princess when round her parents. Her dad was AWFUL!! Nothing about having a nice guy, he just has to be rich. He is 100% noveau rich. Completely devoid of class. Also joiners earn a v good living! Not like he’s a cleaner. It’s just snobbery around trades. Sophie annoyed me when she shouted at Johnathan when he said he would be a SAHD. It was very much “But I want to quit work” - well it’s not all about you Princess! I also think the horse legs thing has been blown out of proportion and feel sorry Johnathan has to defend himself over what was an inane thoughtless comment. I suspect that whilst Sophie has an absolutely gorgeous figure, she isn’t naturally skinny and could be the type to put on weight easily, hence being triggered by his comment.

Zoe & Jenna - pickled rat?! What?

Adrian & Tom - seeing more of Tom’s mum explains a lot. She literally said they sit back while he has a tantrum and so should Adrian. Thomas’ diva behaviour, which Adrian has understandably got sick of (and clearly been put off sexually by), is so damaging and he’s only ever been pandered to. It’s awful that they focussed only on sex and not the other things - Adrian is a massive catch and can do better, he’s overcome hurdles and been extremely patient but they haven’t ‘necked on’ and that’s what’s important 🙄I think it’s so grim that his mum probed about details on his sex lift. That’s not normal.

George & April - why is she trying to get him to ‘fall in love with London’ - he can’t move away from the 4 heartbeats!

I can't believe I forgot about the rat in the jar ... in the kitchen! It made me think Zoe doesn't really want this relationship. Jenna bought butter and bacon for Zoe. Zoe couldn't even move the pickled rat out of the kitchen. I mean I'm not vegan and I'd have been refusing to go in there until the pickled rat was either in a bin or in a very dark cupboard.

Interesting that Adrian and Thomas haven't had sex but they've not made it a big discussion point on the couch with the experts. All the other couples seem to have made lack of physical intimacy a big deal but Thomas and Adrian have been restrained about it. Shame Thomas' friends and family couldn't have been the same.

Adrian has had to act in loco parentis for Thomas- to soothe him when he can't handle his own emotions.... Add in Adrian's self confessed lower sex drive and it's not really a recipe for a marriage.

I’m sure Adrian’s tears were for something other than weeping for Thomas and his blessed insecurities 🙄 how self-centred Thomas and his family are! Mother seems dreadful in particular. Everyone in Tom’s life seems to be cast as some kind of carer or unpaid therapist; friends - ‘my support system’; family - ‘my support system’; Adrian - ‘I’ve been Tom’s support system in this experiment’… sorry, I thought he was a fully-grown man 🙄
