Watched it for the first time in ages on Monday and it was so bad could only stand a few minutes before I turned it over. Thought it might have been a one-off but I turned it on again tonight and it's still shit, even though they had Al Murray on. It looks so amateurish it could have been produced by A level media students, though A level media students would have come up with a few more original ideas and a more fluid script that the people doing it now.
Is it because it's their last series they can't be bothered any more? Or is it that they don't have any production budget now that their phone scam cash cow has been stopped? Either way, it's rubbish. I used to enjoy watching R&J when I got home from work; an hour to relax and unwind with easy going tv, but now it's unwatchable.
Better to bow out on a high than keep it going and limp out pathetically like this.
