What's happened to Richard Osman? Why isn't he presenting Pointless this week? It's not the same without him.
And who is this Sally that's taken his place? 🤔

I used to love Pointless. Watched the first episode with Sally Lindsay to give her a chance and couldn’t get to the end. WTF is with the reading off the laptop! She looks like a school child who’s been called upon to read out in class!

RO just smashed the record this week for selling the most books in one week of release – 200k of his new one. I don't think he's going to miss Pointless but it sounds like it will miss him.

I thought Sally got a bit more confident as the week went on. She also managed to learn that Alexander likes filling in the blank answers!

it won't be the same without Richard but he's obviously pleased to be spending more time on his writing.

Lauren Laverne is doing well. Far better than poor old wooden Aunt Sally, who read her lines in monotone.

Sally Lindsay was AWFUL. Couldn't bear her on it. Steven Mangan and Lauren Laverne much much better.

RO has gone for pronunciation lessons. He's going to learn how to say 'pic-ture' instead of 'pitcher', when he's talking about those things that hang on walls.

I've just started The Thursday Murder Club. I bought it at an airport as my plane was delayed and I wanted some light reading while waiting.
So far I'm not impressed. The story seems ok, but I really don't like his writing style. Every sentence is a maximum of about 5 words long and there are way too many commas.

I hope I'm wrong on this but RO looks shaky/trembly a lot of the time. I worry that he's taken a step back due to health reasons

I’m pretty sure his shakiness is due to his eye condition. He has talked about it a lot.

But does that make his head trembly/shaky too? He only seems to mention his eyes being shaky.

He says in that article that his head can shake (or appear to) with the effort of trying to correct his eyes.

When Osman tried to look at the camera, the effort he put into trying to move his eyes back to the front led his head to appear as if it was subtly shaking.
