New show just launched on Netflix. Spin off from Selling Sunset, with their new office in Orange County.

I've watched the first episode and was quite enjoying it until the inevitable bitching began 😴

I like it so far, although I much prefer Selling Sunset. Polly comes across as crazy over reactive, the Alexandras are very passive aggressive and Gio’s mums plastic surgery is scary. The houses are a bit more interesting than SS I think, not as many glass boxes.

On Tyler; I wouldn't be surprised If his wife divorced him. He showed a complete lack of respect for her.

This. And Nast Alex was ALL OVER him at the beach! I'm wondering if she's partly motivated by jealousy.

But yes ... I don't think I will watch a second series if the pack bullying continues. It's not a good look and quickly makes a beautiful person look ugly.

At least with Queen Christine there was a feeling of it possibly being part of the Pantomime of her mental life. Confused

Just finished this and I agree, Rose and Jarvis are actually not the office bullies. Alex Hall on the other hand - awful - and Polly the worst of all.

I think Gio is the only one who seems to know what he's doing, and manages to get along with everyone more or less. I bet he gets made office manager whenever Jason goes off to set up the next OG branch.

Nice change from Selling Sunset as none of them are famous yet. The views and houses are lovely, and MUCH nicer to have some handsome blokes instead of just women and the little twins.

mondaytosunday · 31/08/2022 23:07

It's nice to have sone men in the mix, but this really is concentrating on their interpersonal relationships - how can they stand to work with each other?
I agree with PP that Million Dollar Listing is better, and focusses on the industry. These shows are more Housewives of XYZ than about estate agents. And how much boob and leg do these women have to put on show?

Just watched the last episode ... holy crap the behaviour of Alex, Polly and Brandi was appalling. And what an absolute Twat Tyler is ... so dry humping you cuddling you whilst wearing a bikini and licking your face is coolio and not at all disrespectful to your wife but anything else is?!!! WTF.

Disclaimer - I do get we didn't see what happened on the Fateful Evening with Kayla ... did she really try to shag him?!! Regardless ... he is very picky about his boundaries and what constitutes disrespect. If that was DH I'd rip him a new one for being ok with any of the above.

And while I had sympathy for Kayla it went down when she decided to choose Camp Bitch after how they treated her. Rose and Jarvis have openly had her back but I think after that they won't again. And there absolutely will be another time, the way she meekly bowed down to Alex Confused

And when Gobby Polly (really wanted to love the Brit, gutted) was screeching about how R and J had made K cry ... uh, hello, short memory much?!!!

And what a waste of space Jason was to allow this behaviour.

But LOVED that R and J sold that Palace for double figures! The faces of the others were a bloody picture! Once again why did Jason allow the team to not even acknowledge that sale? Knob.

Jarvis is absolutely gorgeous in a doll way, reminds me of Natalia Dyer.

Gahhhhhhh - I'm way too invested Grin

Omg I just finished watching it and I almost didn’t make it through… at first I was like: ah they’re actually all pretty nice. And then it all turned around. I don’t like any of them except Jarvis, rose, gio and was his name Sean? 😂 they’re the only ones who don’t talk and act like little brainless brats. I really hope when they watch it back they feel embarrassed. Tyler is like this typical „nice guy“ his poor wife! Kayla is like a puppet… she is never going to sell this thing. And wth happened to brandi and the other girl?? I thought they were nice and had a least a small brain… but the worst ones are by far polly and Alex. Such bullies and one of them even has children! Great example! I usually love the brits in these shows but polly is just awful. I am really indecisive about whom I dislike more.
Christine was also awful but in a way more entertaining and iconic way.

Inkanta · 01/09/2022 19:38

The only time they really got into a verbal fight was when they stuck their neck out for Kayla, which I think they shouldn't have bothered with because she wasn't really grateful for their professional intervention

Yes the two Alexander's stood up for Kayla - after Kayla went to them for support, and then Kayla does a turn coat - fawning around Alex again. The worst kind of friend material Kayla is.

Yes!

Just finished the series. The pack bullying by Polly, Brandi and Alex Hall was awful....really uncomfortable to watch. These are nasty nasty women, I really liked Rose and Jarvis by the end. Also surprised Jason didn't swoop in and sort those mean girls out

Scianel · 03/09/2022 22:56

Polly and Alex are truly terrible people. Complete narcissists. No wonder Polly's husband fucked off with another woman.

Gio, who I initially disliked on sight, really grew on me, as did his mother.

Jarvis is absolutely ethereal looking.

RedAmber · 08/09/2022 00:48

At first I thought the 2 Alexandera's were immature and snobby but they are actually hard workers and are definitely not as bitchy as the rest. Polly and Alex are awful, shit stirrers and 2 faced, which I guess people love to watch, they don't come across as likeable and are just being bullies.

Polly and Alex are awful. The pack bullying was almost distressing to watch. When one of the Alex's went to the back of the yaught and the others all left. Disgusting behaviour.

I hope there is a second series so those bullying scum get their comeuppance!

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 08/09/2022 08:43

Agree! It's odd, I don't know if it's coz I'm getting a bit old to tolerate behaviour like that or I'm even more aware as mum to a teen DD but the word distressing is very accurate ... I wanted to go in and take Kayla out of the office away from those awful hyenas.

Reality tv is teetering on a very, very fine line.

I absolutely loved Sunset and as much as the house porn and great outfits are fun to watch I don't think I'll watch again if this is the way it's going. Feels like my viewing makes me complicit somehow.

This.

But who dresses up like this as Alex Hall does in a professional setting.. so strange.

MsTSwift · 29/09/2022 01:04

The way those hyenas were on the boat was hard to watch. The two Alexes hadn’t done anything wrong apart from be better at their jobs than the others. Surely that’s work place bullying - while the boss looked on. Kayla very weak and non too bright. Polly just hideous.
