It's deliberate imo. They don't advertise it, they wait 6 months, then they'll put it on ITV "later in the year" at some crap time so it gets almost no viewers to justify their cancellation of it.

And they'll cut it, just like S2.

Well, Andrew Davies did put them over a barrel but if ITV had hung on to it and sold it to the world they'd surely have done ok with it ?? Reddit conversations show that it's shown in many countries.

It's been successful all over the world. Of course it's been marketed properly everywhere but the UK, which helps.

ITV even left it to Hello magazine to announce this date.

I'm sure if they had put it on ITV on a Sunday night it would have done well. The first thread here was very busy and hilarious.

ITV get even worse - see below! I haven't included the "exclusive" photographs because they've actually been all over the internet for months.

I'm reminded of the shop on the King's Road that used to sell cowboy boots. It was called "R Soles". Seems appropriate, somehow. 😡

They said they'd show it on ITV later in the year. God knows when that will be.

..and I had been thinking today that 3rd August isn't too far away. Only ITVX then. I knew it was on ITV 'later in the year'. Jane and Starbucks, will you be able to get it on ITVX?

I watched it in March on PBS, got a subscription for $5 a month. (I can DM Jane or anyone who wants to know how to do it. It's not illegal btw.) There was no way I could wait for ITV.

I also have the US dvd as the UK one last year was cut. You just need a multi region dvd player.

I thought you probably couldn't, Jane, and thank you, Starbuck's. (I have had the inner debate about whether it's worth the extra money to get a suitable player and buy the American dvd.)

Thanks Starbucks I've watched it all on YouTube so I won't bother getting it but I'm still cross with ITV for treating it so badly. It could have done really well as a Sunday night drama but they've obviously got the hump with the producers.
