Suggestions to watch on Disney plus Amazon prime or general channels

I've just finished marriage. Seen secrets she keeps. Watched the control room but too intense/ ridiculous. Seen most f the stuff with Sheridan Smith so now looking for another drama or similar to watch. Suggestions please

Came on to say Happy Valley but beaten to it. It's the best drama I've ever seen (and I watch them all!). Can't wait for season 3.

Red Rose on BBC iplayer, The Wilds on Prime and The Secrets She Keeps, also on iplayer are all very good in my opinion.

Bodes or Bodies? If Bodies, I agree. It's bloody marvelous. Set in an obstetrics unit headed by an incompetent senior consultant, but people are scared to whistle blow. It's fast and furious and knuckle-bitingly tense.

Yes Bodies. Typo.

Bumping and watching for more recommendations

Binge watching Mum. Laugh out loud funny and pathos too. Loving it.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 28/08/2022 08:26

Sorry just realised not gripping as such, just brilliant.

moneynotsofunny · 28/08/2022 09:59

@FormerlySpeckledyHen MUM was a very clever show! I would love to see more of this type of telly!

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 28/08/2022 10:30

Yes, me too Money Refreshing good. No idea how I missed it before.

PortalooSunset · 28/08/2022 11:33

I've just started re-watching Spooks from the beginning for the millionth time. Gripping and even though it started 20 years ago still very relevant.

GreenLunchBox · 28/08/2022 19:50

This Is Us on Amazon Prime

There's 6 seasons, all excellent. The writing and casting is genius.

Be prepared to cry every episode, though. But in a good way.

thestarvingcaterpillar · 28/08/2022 20:01

From on the Sci-Fi channel it's very like Lost highly recommend!

TwoMonthsOff · 28/08/2022 20:08

@Lullabies2Paralyze
Little Fires Everywhere is fantastic isn’t it

It's good, but I'd recommend Big Little Lies first

TwoMonthsOff · 28/08/2022 21:24

@GreenLunchBox
oooh I’m glad you said that thank you 😊 as there are two seasons on my watchlist - is it as good as LFE ?
I like Reece W in everything she’s in

Inklingpot · 28/08/2022 21:30

The Shadow Line. It’s older, but it’s still one of the best dramas I’ve ever seen.

If you liked LFE you'll definitely like BLL! 😊
When I finished BLL I felt bereft of something to watch and it was actually a MN thread that made me discover LFE!

CassTheFox · 28/08/2022 23:14

Blackbird. Think it’s Apple TV. It’s amazing and I usually really struggle to get into tv series. Only 6 episodes, watched it all in a couple of days!

Also if you haven’t seen it, The Fall is on Netflix now, that’s fab specially the first series

stopitleaveitgetdown · 28/08/2022 23:20

The Capture on BBC Iplayer. I've been binge watching it today. And what a twist!!

TwoMonthsOff · 28/08/2022 23:31

@GreenLunchBox
thank you 😊

Northbynorthbreast · 28/08/2022 23:36

My beautiful friend- on Amazon.

a out two girls growing up in slums of Naples - both very clever- one moves on and one doesn’t. With stars who have never acted before. It’s brill.

stopitleaveitgetdown · 28/08/2022 23:41

@Northbynorthbreast ooooh that's based on the book by Elena Ferrante

Might give that a watch too

Doremisofarsogood · 28/08/2022 23:48

Just started watching The Bay on ITV hub, there are 3 series
Inventing Anna, I haven't finished it yet though

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 28/08/2022 23:57

Ooh. Here’s one - Alba on Netflix. Also Quicksand on Netflix. First is Spanish (I think!) second is Swedish. Dubbed no subs! Both incredibly gripping. ❤️

BoreOfWhabylon · 29/08/2022 00:22

The Capture.
S 1 is on iPlayer and S2 just started tonight - gripping!
