All that Glitters jewellery show Series 2 ....

.... starts this month on BBC 2 and Solange is not judging - whilst she is probably great at jewellery I didn't like her as a judge ..... instead partnering Shaun is Dinny Hall - no idea what she will be like as a judge but I'm excited 😊

Dinny is lovely!

I liked both Steve's pieces more than some of the others, particularly the statement earring. It's a shame he couldn't manage the time better.
Am I missing something - where was the name in the necklace Hannah chose?

Dinny is really nice. Was the name engraved on the back? I think the hand and the heart were such clever designs.

I like the new judge, much warmer than Solange.

Lapis lazuli is so beautiful.

I'm finding it hard to tell Jack and Piers apart.

In the first bit, Emma was my favourite.

Glad for Nyanda, but Steve was my favourite for the commission piece.

it was in Hebrew on the main hand. The 3 symbols were the letters.

just watched it on catch up. I enjoyed it - the judges worked well together this time. I agree that last time they improved through the series. This time they've hit the ground all warmed up already.

I'm not convinced by Katherine Ryan either. I think she's too dry for this sort of thing.

Agree, they don’t need a “comedian” on these shows much like GBSB, doesn’t put me off watching though

I agree. They don't need a comedian, just a person with interest and empathy. Siobhan McSweeny is a case in point with the Throwdown. She's great.

Ellie was lovely, but different. Siobhan was kind, funny and interesting. I really didn't like it on the thread when people kept criticising Siobhan, I thought it was a pity. It's such a lovely show.

It's fine to criticise anyone. I don't make the rules on here. Doesn't mean I don't like certain posts or when those posts dominate the thread as opposed to the content of the show.

They’ve improved the staging too. Series 1 was a bit dingy, whereas the room seems better lit this time. It helps lift the mood I think.

Loved the spinner rings challenge- I've always wanted one! Sad that Nyanda left, I thought she was lovely but it was her time to go.

They all seem really talented - standard maybe a bit higher than last time?

I loved that snake spinner ring. Definitely the best one.

I understand why they're giving them brass and copper to work with alongside silver, because gold is so expensive, but I find it a little off-putting because it makes the things they make less covetable to me.

Just caught up - I much prefer this series. The new judge is much better plus I think they're making an effort to show more of the process this time which is what I like to see!

The spinner rings were lovely - even the ones at the bottom (I would have placed Nyanda's at the bottom though as I thought hers was clunky).

i loved the hair pins too, although I wouldn't have chosen the same one as top. I loved the one that was just the lion's mane as it would have fitted round a bun beautifully. Slightly different to the others I thought.

Such lovely pieces it would be so difficult to choose.
I'm glad Bonnie's piece was chosen. She is so upbeat and despite not doing well in The Bestseller, she didn't give up and went on to success with her piece being chosen. I loved the tiny wee flower on her hair pin.

Before this show I thought Dinny Hall was a male jeweller. I had only heard or read of the name. Blush
She's a nice judge.

I really enjoy this show, although can't warm to Katherine Ryan. Dinny Hall is a much better judge than Solange, warm and friendly.

I am already coveting two of the spinner rings - Piers and Tiannne's designs. I've got a couple of spinner rings and they are incredibly relaxing to wear .
