I never start TV threads, but honestly I'm getting so stressed about the pink and yellow scheme I need an outlet. And support. Tell me it'll be okay, and those two poor women will not have to avoid each other in the playground for the rest of their children's school life.

There'll be an 'Insurance job' in a couple of months

I bet the designers houses look nothing like the crap they churn out for the poor members of the public readily handing over their living spaces to be decorated in the style of a 6 year old after too many Haribo Star Mix

in the 70s my dad tried his hand at a spot of artex in our bathroom, from then on it was really only safe to have a bath if you had the St. John’s ambulance on standby to deal with the injuries caused by the artex wall

Pretty much all our ceilings are artex! (80s build house.)

Why is it so far away from real interior design as possible?

I gave up watching. Recorded it and deleted it before watching.

Just caught up and oh my days!!! I'm starting to think LLB had a shed load of that blue as it's used each week and last series if I remember correctly. That lilac was like something in the 90s that most people would be painting over. How practical was that lounge?! Can you imagine having people around and all being squished either in front of sofa or behind?! And as for the pyrography....... um.... its notoriously hard to do as a novic and you could tell. Still alot better than last series 🤣

I don't know why the table had to be so narrow as it looked like there was plenty of room for a larger one.
Although that's a very minor point considering all the other atrocities in the room. I can't believe they both like the rooms so much??

It is an improvement not having the presenter in this series though.

You need 1.2m behind a chair - it would be very tight around even that table without moving the sofa completely out of the way. Plus there was a breakfast bar where the kitchen met the living room so that could be used for serving dishes, etc. I actually liked LLB's room. Hated the other one, but then I haven't liked anything those two have designed.

She looks beautiful but it’s not right for decorating a room.

She has a great pair of legs that's for sure!

DH just said ‘that poor woman, her decor has been done by two white boys who have seen Lion King once’.

It was the kind of thing that a 6 year old draw!

The aeroplane was really terrible.

As was the lilac. LLB's colour theory that the teal is blue-green and the lilac is blue-red so they counterbalance each other is right in theory, but in practice they clashed. The lilac had a lot more white in it than the teal so it didn't work - a darker purple may have (though then you'd end up with a very dark room).

I liked the projector tracing though.

I thought Whinnie's wasn't too bad this week. But not LLB'S kitchen. The yellow paint effect wall was particularly 😳

I quire liked the idea of LLB's kitchen/bathroom cabinet. But as always, the patterns and designs were all a bit too flamboyant for me tbh.

Both sets of people seemed to quite embrace their new rooms though, so what do I know?

I will say the younger son and his girlfriend looked young enough to still be school children imho. Far too young to be setting up home together like that!

It's your age @Meredusoleil - you'll be thinking police officers look too young soon😁and a host of other professionals.

I didn't like the faux wall with artex, but Whinnie's other ideas were good and I liked Laurence's kitchen apart from the mirror which is a grease trap that will crumble apart in time.

I thought the same 🤣🤣🤣 Must say this week I quite liked both designs. Wasn't keen on the green curtain divider but the rest was good. LLB having a kitchen to do was quite nerve-wracking but he wasn't as flamboyant as usual and that blue paint didn't come out again 🤣
