Ed and Davide know that every other couple think they aren't very compatible. But they're not going round whinging and giving people a hard time about it

adriftabroad · 01/08/2022 09:31

I just rewatched the relevant bits (they kept cutting out last night, in Spain) I think Gemma[s mother did tell Gemma, carefully in what she said. She can barely bare to kiss him now.

Tandrew are happy to leave as they do really like each other.

Cannot stand Dami or Indyiah, so smug. Do like Indiyah for telling Luca how it is though, she went up in my estimation for that.

Words cannot describe my loathing for Luca. He has absolutely no clue... he fully expects to win. His poor mother, she was mortified, you could tell. She tried to tell Gemma! I love your morals

Twonewcats · 01/08/2022 09:42

I've just rewatched the chat between G&L and I&D.
Gemma is so mature, shutting down the argument before it even started. It was also VERY telling that Indiya said G wouldn't put up with his nonsense on the outside, and she wasn't sure if she'd sack it off if he was acting "protective" 🙄
Luca said to Gemma, "what, you'd sack it off like that?!" And Gemma didn't even acknowledge his question, she just said they didn't have to respond to every point they make 😅

D&I are supposedly his great friends, and they see right through him AND they commented that G sees it too.

And Luca is an absolute bellend, frankly.

Lampzade · 01/08/2022 09:44

Paige definitely has a crush on Dami. Not so sure if she would explore this option tbh
Indiyah is very naive. Her mother and sister made it clear that they were not impressed by Dami and yet Indiyah seemed clueless.
She is a very pretty girl and sweet. Can do much better than Dami.
Trust me, Gemma knows her mum doesn’t like Luca. She will fake the funk for a couple of weeks and then dump him.

MuddlerInLaw · 01/08/2022 09:45

E[kin] and Davide know that every other couple think they aren't very compatible.

They know that every other couple sees them as the biggest threat!

And since last night I’ve been seeing headlines speculating on how many millions Ekin-Su is set to make from TV deals - the words bidding war were used quite a lot.

HandbagsnGladrags · 31/07/2022 22:10

I love Gemma but her outfit tonight is terrible.

Do you mean the white jumpsuit?
I thought it was stunning!

Twonewcats · 01/08/2022 09:55

The pp who asked re people recoupling on the outside - yes it's happened a few times. And Lucie and the Bieber lookalike are engaged now, but weren't together in the villa.

MuddlerInLaw · 01/08/2022 09:56

Indiyah and Dami have been smart to play the cards they were dealt so well. While they might have been friendly in the real world (not actual friends as nothing in common) there’s absolutely no chemistry between them - they’ve just held it together to get to the final. And maybe to the media deals afterwards.

Thing is, Dami is objectively clever (regardless of oafish immaturity) and I’m not sure Paige could hold his interest for long - though they’d look good on magazine covers together.

thatsnotmynamec · 01/08/2022 09:56

I find the way they edited luca bizarre. The best story they could have had is a Gemma Owen love story. Why portray him in such a bad ligh? His conversation with his parents he looked bored, embarrassed (of them) and awkward. Surely it could have been edited better. I wonder why the hate for Luca is the storyline they are going with?

Twonewcats · 01/08/2022 09:58

I usually hate the meet the parents episode, but I'm actually rewatching it this morning on my day off 😅

Tash's dad is wonderful. And clearly adores his daughter. Running over to her when he saw her 😍😍

And i agree with the pp who mentioned Luca whining about his dad's fish flops. It wasn't good natured banter, he seemed genuinely pissed off that he was being cringe. He should have just laughed with him. Tbf, luca has no clue that IainS shouts THE MAN SELLS FISH nightly.

FiloPasty · 01/08/2022 09:58

Lucie & forgotten his name were different seasons she slid into his dm’s as they say. They seem like a good match both v outdoorsy and don’t take themselves too seriously

But they were previously very much going for the love story, and it's been different lately.
I've wondered whether they were going with the "protective" angle but it backfired when social media pounced on his behaviour; OR whether possibly Luca isn't giving them much positive material to work with!

Twonewcats · 01/08/2022 10:03

Oooooh.
EKINSU: Oh they're going to meet the parents!
LUCA: they've already met outside, you numpty
ES: no, but with Andrew. You've ALWAYS got something to say.

It really feels like theyre all sick of Luca 😅

Carrotzen · 01/08/2022 10:11

Dami/Paige, Amber has said on the outside that Dami has lots of female friends that he has sleepovers with and has done stuff with.

To me it sounds like he likes to have a collection of women who fancy him around. Paige is just another one. I think Dami equally fancies Paige but has no desire to date her, just add her to his collection of sleepover girls

Dami will 100% cheat. He is a cheater to the core, the worst bit is I don't even think he knows when he's done wrong. He doesn't even seem to process that his Casa Amor behaviour was wrong, and therefore there's no hope

Twonewcats · 01/08/2022 10:13

What actually was the point in Adam evening joining this series?!
Did they think he'd come in and stir things up like previously?
Backfired spectacularly, as he used it as a PR exercise to change the public perception of him.

Carrotzen · 01/08/2022 10:17

Luca is such a little knob. I hate people who think they are sly and are actually blatant

He's had several petty arguments with Gemma. But also he's been a complete knob to Tasha and Andrew and Ekin su, and he's puzzled why people would vote for him? Why the fuck would they not vote for you? There's only 4 options and they've got to pick 2!

Indiya can't stand him, she couldn't roll her eyes anymore. And when all the girls were saying goodbye to Paige and Adam the other boys were just sat there listening to Luca throw his toys around because people voted for him. Think he's pissed off that people aren't following his Tasha narrative anymore

MuddlerInLaw · 01/08/2022 10:21

Part of me wishes I knew what ‘the public perception’ of Adam is / was.

But most of me can’t even be bothered to google as he’s spectacularly biting and clearly not A Catch.

MuddlerInLaw · 01/08/2022 10:21

boring not biting!

WeneedtotalkaboutBrunobaby · 01/08/2022 10:37

I'm not so sure. I'd be very surprised if they didn't kiss in bed after the parents meetings. If she was my daughter and I saw her being pushed on tv by the same person who insisted he loved her, I'd bite my tongue because it was so near the end but I'd have a very hard time laughing when I met them and gushing that I'd have paired them up myself.

Gemma has been careful to say she needs her mum's approval but her mum is being careful to make sure that its Gemma's decision. A previous poster said that Gemma appears as if she has had a lot of counselling in the past and appears brittle. I agree with this. I've never seen anyone her age who is so controlled and self assured. Yet she went out with Jacques and her mother seemingly approved of that relationship. None of it tallies up.

Pinkdelight3 · 01/08/2022 10:42

I loved the white jumpsuit too. V impressive to not get make-up on it, the amount they trowel on.

Remember how Luca previously told Tash she shouldn't be upset about being in the bottom as she should be happy to be in love etc etc. And now look at him - instantly pissed off and combative at any hint he not universally adored!!! It's a really repugnant trait and I wish someone had called him on it more, though I think I&D and Gemma dealt with it well. There's still a sense that he's so precious he can't possibly be criticised, whereas he's the first to be shitty to other people. In fact there was a good moment last night where he make a misplaced shitty comment to someone in the kitchen - was it Ekin maybe? - and they pointed out how wrong/rude he is. Can't remember exactly, but it's pretty clear their tolerance for his immature egoism is wearing thin. He need that chat with his mum and he needs to listen! Not just go 'yeah I know' and keep being a prick.

I voted Tandrew as they've had the journey and their looks to each other feel genuine. Like when the bottom four couples were read out, they looked at each other warmly instead of clearly thinking of themselves first like some others.

I don't mind if Ekin and Davide win for the entertainment value but no way am I buying that they're genuinely in love. As he put it so well: "She is an actress."

I like Dami and Indiyah as individuals but don't think they'll last as a couple. He's gonna be putting it about and she's not that fussed for him really. I remember some comment she made in the movie night quiz about being okay with never having sex. Feels like they'd have one of those 'mis-match sex drives' threads on here!

Pinkdelight3 · 01/08/2022 10:45

Oh yes @Twonewcats - that's the exchange I meant, the numpty one. Took me so long to post I missed your message! Good on Ekin for biting back.

WeneedtotalkaboutBrunobaby · 01/08/2022 10:48

BTW Luca said to Dami that he had 'worked out' who had voted for him. As he received three votes, I expect he thinks Paige and Adam voted for him along with ES and D (who he didn't couldn't confront as he voted for them). He doesn't know that Andrew and Tasha didn't vote for him and he was the only one who voted for them. He isn't bright enough to work it out at all.

Pinkdelight3 · 01/08/2022 10:56

Yeah, it's supremely dense for Luca not see that with only vote for Tandrew, he was the only person who'd gone for them, but guess that wouldn't matter to him as he feels justified in hounding Tasha to the end. Whereas anyone voting for him is an outrage. It's all about him, and speaks to deep-seated unworthiness.

helencarrot · 01/08/2022 10:57

At meet the parents I did like how Davide was with his family. They were all in tears throughout!

I don't think any of them are 'in love'. Cynical!

I think it must have been right about the filler tops ups. They're distracting when Ekin is talking, Gemma too in a lower key way.

WeneedtotalkaboutBrunobaby · 01/08/2022 10:57

Of course nobody knows if this is actually true but its interesting.
