Och I know nowt but I spotted that Rhylee and Kate didn’t behave either! As you say, one can stir and the other backchats. I didn’t see bad behaviour from Courtney or Simone but I didn’t see every episode.
Granted, the reunion was skewed in their favour but the boys’ behaviour was that bloody dire, the behaviour of the women was always going to be eclipsed.
For me the boys (and they acted like boys throughout) were really only sorry because they caught the backlash on social media. It seemed like a damage limitation exercise. It may not have been but with all the eye-rolling and glances to the side each time someone said something unpalatable, I don’t t feel that the sorrys were heartfelt.
Most - if not all? - reality shows are ramped up for the drama - although I wish they weren’t. I like watching everyday stuff fine without the angst and tears.
But you can’t edit what you didn’t say or do. The producers can punt it so far but if you don’t want to look like an arse on the telly, then you shouldn’t act like one. Same with the drinking. If you can’t handle it then don’t drink like a fish.
I agree that Captain Lee should have known what was going on with his crew though. Staff 1-1 meetings during the trips might be helpful but would anyone want to rock the boat by clyping? ? (Sorry). He kept himself out of it for sure. Maybe they have to have some sort of professional distance?
I think he was right to say that he wouldn’t want to work with Ash or Rhylee - although I feel the door was left slightly open for her.
I would also have liked him to peep his head round the corner when Rhylee asked to sit at the table or took her meal to her room. That was miserable.
I’ll be watching the next one as I think it is a whole new crew and I like not to think too hard when I finish a shift and need to wind down. I try not to take it seriously as a lot of it will be mince 😏. And it is probably the nearest I’ll get to a private boat trip.
I can just hear Captain Lee as I waddle up alongside ….
’we’re gonna need a bigger boat’ 😳
