I can't find my old thread with all the recommendation. What can I watch if I like:

Blue Murder
Scott and Bailey
Inspector Morse
Lewis
Endeavour
Broadchurch
The Bay
Grantchester
Father Brown
Unforgotten
The Loch
The Tower
Jonathan Creek
McDonald and Dodds
Shetland
Vera

There's probably more I've watched. Needs to be on Netflix or iPlayer or ITV hub or BritBox.

The Control Room on BBC only 3 episodes but fab

MadeinBelfast · 24/07/2022 18:59

Stay Close and The Stranger on Netflix are good. They're based on Harlan Coben books.

Friendofdennis · 24/07/2022 19:08

The Cry

Toomanybooks22 · 24/07/2022 19:33

Whitechapel is good

bluekostree · 24/07/2022 19:47

Lots of the ones up above but also Mindhunter and the liar. There's a new one on Netflix called the holiday that I suppose is crimey too,

Bobbybobbins · 24/07/2022 19:51

Mare of Easttown if you can get it in any of those platforms. Happy Valley amazing!

Violetparis · 24/07/2022 19:55

I've been enjoying The Undeclared War.on Channel 4.

OliveOyl321 · 24/07/2022 19:59

Love a good crime drama. Not sure if it quite fits but ‘Safe’ on Netflix is very good. I’ve watched a few of the previously recommended (love Scott & Bailey, and Happy Valley etc) and will definitely be trying out a few more.

Not a police drama but an incredible true story - 'High: confessions of an Ibiza drug mule' on BBC iplayer - the story of Michaella McCollum that you might remember was all over the papers when she disappeared and then turned up in Peru in prison. It's based on first hand accounts so very close to the truth.

Dublin murders
Bloodlands
Hidden assets
Love/hate

Shutupyoutart · 24/07/2022 20:38

Ones I've watched recently and really enjoyed are, the missing (season 2 better than season 1) Baptiste, stay close, the stranger and safe. All on Netflix

C0mfyChairP0se · 24/07/2022 20:42

The Informer on Netflix is a bbc thing, it's excellent. I'm not in the UK so I hadn't seen it when it was on TV. Thought it was so clever.

Ratched · 24/07/2022 20:45

No Offence?

Absolutely loved this - still haunt Google I'm the hope I'll discover a new series!

Ratched · 24/07/2022 20:46

*In the hope!

midsomermurderess · 24/07/2022 20:47

The Killing. Pretty iconic. And The Bridge and The Tunnel. I also like Vera. Early seasons of Shetland are pretty good. I can't say I'm sad it's on its way out though. It got so long drawn out and dull.

I've been watching Vincent on BritBox and it's good. Not amazing but still enjoyable. It's weird when they locate shows in Manchester and loads of characters have southern accents.

Not as weird as a show set in Provence with all the characters speaking posh English! Really confused me

C0mfyChairP0se · 25/07/2022 07:57

What about Livia
Would he accept that? It's more tradionally pretty and he is clearly not after that vibe, but he could nn her levi?? While everybody else thinks eeeeoooow qnd calls her Livia 😅

AlternativelyWired · 25/07/2022 08:23

@Leftbutcameback that was odd but not as out of place in a weird way because people often expect everyone to speak English.

I've started on Van Der Valk and live it. I'm on the third episode. Loving the way everyone in Amsterdam police speaks English all the time Hmm I loved Marc Warren in Hustle. That show was great fun.
