Thank you.
Sorry, I've been out tonight, so just catching up.
Musings this is not the time or place to have such a discussion. Suffuce to say I am not horrified and do not suffer from bias, or lack of understanding or research. I'm very well informed, thank you. I'm very aware of the genetic aspects of MH disorders, thanks. I lost my best friend 2 years ago to poor MH, which I strongly believe was genetic. I've dealt with her and have had many conversations with many, many doctors and therapists.
I also know that ADHD is mental disorder in the DSM- it IS a disorder as it affects behaviour: the behaviour is disordered, but it is not poor mental health. The crucial fact here is that ADHD cannot be caused by ACEs, MH issues can- not always but can. I think it's worth making this distinction clear. My DC have not had ACEs, they are neuro-atypical. As such they have a higher chance of poor MH, but that's fine, I'm prepared for that.
I repeat, i have no bias: MH issues should be given as much treatment and resources as physical issues.
I'm over and out on this now. I hope Jacques get the understanding he needs.
