Honestly it’s been a difficult and upsetting watch. He is clearly really unhappy. I think he’s in need of some help.

And now he’s told all of them he’s waiting for Paige so she’ll feel like shit if she starts anything with anyone else!

I want to see all the footage of Jacques in the last week in which he ‘wasn’t himself’ (similar to how I wanted to see the footage of Niall from a few years ago before he left) because we’ve not seen any indication of him acting different

He was definitely advised to leave by the mental health team on LI.

I mean as a redemption arc leaving because he realises his behaviour is unacceptable and he wants to be worthy of her on the outside is a doozy.

Added bonus points for not wanting her to leave and understanding she's having a great time and telling her to crack on and do what she needs to do.

This is the most mature I've seen him and I'd love it to be real and the first steps to Jacques 2.0 but i dont know.

Sorry I'm watching behind but why did Gemma stir by telling Jacques what Adam said? She clearly wanted him to kick off. Unnecessary.

Then Jacques was unbelievably rude to Billy telling him to fuck off. Disgusting

But why should she? They're not in a relationship and he's already proven he can't be trusted so why should she compromise her own experience?

The producers spend all their time pushing people's buttons to get a dramatic response, I think he is genuinely struggling.

It's easy to imagine you'll be fine in a reality series but much more challenging in real life.

I know that @Rockets, and I wouldn't expect her to leave. It was the 'I'll wait for her to get out of here' like she's doing bird that got me.

Mind you, if she's heartbroken by him leaving then she has the option to go too, because her options to stay involve cracking on with someone else, that being the point of the show.

I don’t dislike Jacques. I think he knows he’s done wrong and can’t control all of his emotions and feelings in the environment he is in. He’s taking himself out and hopefully get some help either gone by himself or by the makers of the programme.

What he says and how he acts doesn't add up. Wants her to be his girlfriend but repeatedly swears at her and belittles her?

It's good he's leaving, like I said he clearly wasn't coping on there and I hope he gets some help, but a few of those parting shots will do nothing but make Paige feel guilty for having fun or exploring something else in there. I hope she does and enjoys the rest of her time in there without the spectre of Jacques and what he said

I worked in telly for a decade. He was told to leave...all the channels have been warned about whipping up aggression in their reality shows. Even Love Holiday, though it pushes the limits, has a line and he crossed it.

This whole episode was all about Jacques. The entire thing #LoveIsland
