From the linked article - "Seeking a quieter life away from the stress of the city, Humphrey has taken a job as Detective Inspector in fiancée Martha’s hometown. However, they soon find that country life is anything but peaceful and Humphrey can’t help but be distracted by the town’s surprisingly high crime rate with a new, and very different, case challenging him each week."

Will anyone else be watching this when it comes to air? I loved Humphrey and Martha together so I hope this is good.

Yes, that's true. Saint Marie is definitely a leading character itself.

I'm guessing the 'country life' angle this spin off is going for may have some similarities to 'Midsomar' - although I guess we wait to see!

I liked Humphrey so I'll definitely give it a go. Martha was a bit of a yawn, though.

The writer of Death is Paradise has written a couple of books - The Marlow Murder Club and Death comes to Marlow ( a bit like Thursday Murder Club books) so wondering if the U.K. series is based on them ?
