I find the dates on Love Island very weird.

Not keen on Paige anymore, she came across very sweet at first but think she's starting to show her true colours.

The only proof that CA (and this series) is tedious is the fact we're a month in, and only on the third thread 😖
And CA started in the last episode, and there's only a handful of comments about it.

I did laugh out loud at Davide dressing up on Unseen Bits tonight, “I’m Abby!’’

Ekin-Su’s weird voices, otoh, are so cringe. I felt embarrassed for her tonight going on and on and on and then laughing as she clearly thought she was hilarious.

CA has barely started, we've only seen the boys entrance and seen their intro vids. And when they don't look the most inspiring group, there isn't much to say until we see the in action.

The trouble is that what we'll see will be endless inarticulate chats that when islanders are told who to go and talk to.

I'm assuming inarticulate, and that got me thinking - that's perhaps why this series is so draggy. None of them have anything to say (poss exception ES, plus the taciturn Davide). If any of the newcomers have the gift of the gab, they'll stand out.

None of the girls have been shown to have much to say, any that seem like they might, like Amber and Antigone are kept of camera and sent home.

The lads are mostly mopey and boring and super judgemental.

It's a bad mix I think on both sides.

But I said the same last year, when everything was dominated by Faye's anger.

They always need a couple of holiday rep types who can make fun out of nothing and get people relaxing.

Yep exactly. And that's the perfect example to use, as the fish puns could be funny if he quietly slipped them into his chat, without having to point out the "joke" annoyingly each time.
Eg Rob Beckett on celebs go dating repeats jokes over and over, but they often get funnier each time.

I know it's only just started, but most years there would be huge discussion already about what we've seen. And thread 3 after a month is really poor. There's little to talk about.
I haven't seen one comment that says how much anyone is loving this series. The one couple who seem quite genuine, Indiyah and Dami, don't seem to get much airtime together either

This is so true! Too many moody boys, not enough fun or dynamism. Not sure the CA lot will be much better, certainly no one who'd get a woman swooning. For anything to happen, I think the producers would need new rules that make everyone get into new couples at CA and stay there long enough for the old couples to be eclipsed and only then put them all back together.

As it is, with no one wildly tempting in the new bunch, everyone's likely to just sit it out and keep their eyes on the prize, which unfortunately isn't great tv. E-S may stir things up, which is appreciated, but then if you're going down that road, why not just hire a whole cast of actors who can pretend their way through the whole thing and make it a total soap after all?

Ekin Su has personality but I think she would be exhausting to live with and be around 24/7. She does weird and quirky things, is loud and always talking, and likes to be the center of attention.

I don't blame the other women for getting a bit tired of her. They are stuck in a small villa 24/7 with the Ekin show and I am sure many on here would also get irritable and eye roll in that situation.

I agree about the girls and tbh don’t get the love for indiyah, unpopular opinion but she seems very dull!

She looks a lot happier with Dami than when she was with Ikeena but she's not the brightest, Dami looked shocked when she asked if there were shopping centres in Ireland.

I think as the more recent series have gone by, we get to see less and less natural content, so we can't discuss much at all.
On twitter since the last episode which is a whole 2 or actually 3 nights ago.
From what I've read, it's been loads about Paige being rude about Danika going home and making moody faces.
Fridays episode was dragging .
That's another issue when you only get 3 episodes out of 6 that have a few bits worth discussing and not just filler boring until 5 mins till the end.
So it's hard enough to chat about stuff when it comes to LI cast but when half the week is filler which equals no content, it's even harder.
And it's shows that twitter do prefer to tweet about the very tiny amounts of drama that aren't forced or staged chats.
Just shows everyone wants the natural omg did you see that, rather ready set action, looking like a mannequin.

Unseen bits were kinda boring last night but still better than Fridays episode.
Makes me laugh as the producers are perfectly capable of showing unedited longer scenes, but choose not to.

Totally with you on this one. She seems like a genuine person, but yeah, I don’t get the hype, she’s got very little personality.

I think the producers have intentionally not put anyone old enough in for ES, knowing she will stay loyal, whereas there’s girls Davide would be interested in, hoping he’ll recouple and it will bring the drama!

I wish the boys had the balls to send Tasha home, they know she faking it, they all rolled there eyes at the recoupling and also you say you’ve found love so go home and be in love!

Did anyone else think there seemed a bit of tension with Paige and Jacques when the girls were getting ready to leave? Something seemed a bit off.

I want Maya Jama to present Love Island. She really connects with the contestants on Glow Up and I have a huge girl crush on her!

I love Indiyah but the shopping centres in Ireland question was pretty dreadful. She's not been dragged for it in the same way someone like Hayley may have been so think her other + attributes have saved her from mockery.

I wasn't watching that bit. Was she assuming Ireland was all countryside and villages?

I found Indiyah’s idea of Ireland hilarious! It’s exactly the view so many British people have of every single country in Africa. So intriguing to hear it reflected back, as it were.

Well she was mocked for her stupid comment about shopping centres on numerous national radio shows the following day.
