I think Paige is revealing herself not to be as sugary sweet as she likes to portray, I get mean girl vibes from her and that head wobble is really annoying.

RedRuby152 · 02/07/2022 01:54

Just about to catch up but can someone please explain to me the manicure, pedicure stuff, I'm 90% sure they relate to sex acts but I can normally decipher the codes lol

Midlifemusings · 02/07/2022 05:48

Antigone went home because four Black people had left in a row and Reddit and twitter were very upset about that and saying if Danica went next it showed the racism in the villa. Producers don’t want that to be a theme so they kept Danica.

RocketsMagnificent7 · 02/07/2022 07:20

Just catching up.

I don't think the Casa boys are 'vile' they're all just very young looking. None of them are ugly, Josh is actually very handsome but they're just very any bar in the UK on a Saturday night standard and we all expect more on this show.

Billy could be Dom from S3's little brother.

MuddlerInLaw · 02/07/2022 07:26

If the producers don’t want racism to be a ‘theme’ they should not have engineered total racial segregation in the couplings. It’s appalling and horrifying and not something I would ever have expected in 21st century Britain.

I would be quite interested to know what kind of ‘public’ was responsible for the initial pairings.

Yes true. They have had backlash about that as well as Afia, Remi, Ikenna, and Amber leaving and I think there is no way they could send Danica home without even more backlash.

marmiteadict · 02/07/2022 07:36

If the ladies didn't get their heads turned by the likes of Jay then there's no way any of the new gents will pose any threat.

Damica will have her pick and that's likely all.

YetiTeri · 02/07/2022 07:38

Maves · 01/07/2022 21:59

Why the fuck do the girls always get ugly blokes

Hold on, hold on Ovie was from casa amour and he was a god.

It looks like only one of the casa amor girls is over 23 so I guess if her and Jay hit it off, he might find someone. Most of the guys are younger as well so Danica might partner up too if she likes guys her own age.

I don't think the guys are as hideous as people are making them out to be. They are just young.

Zampa · 02/07/2022 07:55

None of the new boys are ugly they're just not stunning. However, I don't think Andrew or Jacques are attractive either.

prinnycessa · 02/07/2022 08:48

@Midlifemusings @Midlifemusings well I think these comments are fair as it was just the black people being sent home every dumping. I also agree that the way they were coupled up wasn't a great idea.

Whilst there is racial diversity on the show, there aren't any interracial couples currently and none of the guys have shown any interest in any of the black female bombshells at all. It happens every year and it's horrid to watch

prinnycessa · 02/07/2022 08:49

Sorry that should have been midlifemusings and @MuddlerInLaw !

YetiTeri · 02/07/2022 08:57

There's clearly a step forward this year as in previous years the type on paper for white men and black men has been white women. This year their focus has clearly been on recruiting black men who are attracted to black women. But it's only a small step forward, it's not at all diverse and it's not at all inclusive.

Lampzade · 02/07/2022 09:06

Paige is the type of woman who dumps all her mates when she gets a new man.
She is lovely when single, but shows her true colours when she gets a man.
It is obvious that she is attracted to men who treat her like complete and utter shit. The comment Jacques made about her being worried about him getting a prettier girl was an example of negging, which is an overused phrase but is what he is doing to Paige
If I were Paige I would have mentioned his lack of height and asked if he was worried that she would leave him for a man who is taller and has a bigger penis. This is how you deal with men like Jacques.

Lampzade · 02/07/2022 09:12

Eeejjj · 01/07/2022 21:11

I'm actually really glad with both choices.

I really weren't a fan of Antigoni (unpopular opinion I know) - didn't like her reaction to Danica & Ekin choosing the guys she wanted And Charlie .... well his time was up the second he got in the villa

I didn’t like her reaction to Danica and Ekin either.
Also, I didn’t like her reaction to being booted out . She was visibly shocked.
It was as though she couldn’t believe that Danica was chosen over her.

BiscoffSundae · 02/07/2022 09:26

Yes Antigoni’s reaction to being dumped said it all as far as I’m concerned, she looked absolutely disgusted that they would dump her and was shouting why over to Paige, I don’t think she’s very nice and I think if she was in longer her true colours would have shown... like with Paige.

LostaraYil · 02/07/2022 09:30

I agree about Antigoni's reaction and I think all the girls and boys were horrible to Danica explaining that basically they wanted to keep Antigoni but Danica tries harder. She must have the skin of a rhino or she's totally oblivious.

ilovebrie8 · 02/07/2022 09:40

I’m perplexed that Danica didn’t go ...she’s not fitted in since the off...

Eeejjj · 02/07/2022 09:44

@Lampzade I thought this. I feel like she was so sure Danica would go and she could get Jay back.

I thought Paige & Antigoni's whispering as well was just 🤮

vjg13 · 02/07/2022 10:04

It was surprising that they chose to save Danica but I did get the logic the boys applied, she is giving off very desperate vibes! I hope Ronan's son has a good supply of sunblock!

Spiceupyourlife43 · 02/07/2022 10:08

@ChloeHel why don't you like Tasha? No shade just curious

The problem is that there is also a lot of backlash if a white person shows interest in a black person or a black person goes for a white partner over a black partner. It is a no win situation. If the producers had paired the back cast with white cast at the start, that would also have gotten a ton of backlash. I don't know what the solution is as race seems to be a focus and no decision is the right one.

EddieHowesBlackandWhiteArmy · 02/07/2022 10:20

Danica is a pain in the arse, I’m not sure the colour of her skin makes a difference. She’d drive me bonkers if I was in there. She constantly speaks like she’s recruiting for an MLM and any rebuffs are met with a ‘yes but’ and back she goes again convincing you that you too can own a Range Rover sport if you agree to sell 13000 mascaras a week.

I agree there needs to be more done re diversity but attraction is a difficult thing. I mean my type is tall, cuddly and dark. My husband is 5’7 and built like a whippet, but I love him and was attracted to him because he made me laugh and we had things in common. You can’t mandate who people find attractive.

Also relate. My type- think Kelly mcGillis in top gun or Sigourney Weaver. Tall handsome women basically (I'm female)
And my partner is 5'2 but she's lovely and hilarious so yeah having a type is bollocks really when it comes to love.

True but I think as PP posted previously, making sure that the black men on the show represent men that are actually attracted to black women is a start (and other ethnicities, it would make things so much fairer).

There should be a limit on men who will only go for white women. That goes for white men too.
