On reflection, Jay was absolutely hedging his bets too by making it clear to Antigone that he was more interested in her and to Danica not to choose him. He really wants to stay in.

The islanders have already decided themselves that Danica and Charlie will be voted out and nobody wants to couple up with either of them.

it’s very strategic this year.

I hope they introduce Casa Amor soon. I'm getting a bit bored with it, nothing much exciting happening.

I honestly have no idea why no one wants to couple up with Danica, she is actually a very attractive girl

I really hope Antigoni stays.

I think she was (completely fairly) gutted that she drew the short straw & went last.
Add in the fact that Danica (for the second or is it third time?) chose someone who literally told her they aren't interested on top of it, then I think it's fair Antigoni was frustrated and as she is a human, she showed that & let her guard down.

Then she pulled herself to together, realised she maybe overreacted, and apologised.
I love her.
She is human, mature & kind.

I so want her to find someone in Casa! Hopefully there is some decent dream boar who has been watching and sees what a beautiful person she is.

I really didn't like her reaction. Honestly I don't blame her for not wanting to be paired with Charlie but she can't be mad at both Danica & Ekin-Su for choosing who they want, it's the objective of the game!

It was good how she did sit down with Danica after but still moaning about Ekin-su instead of speaking to her - I didn't like that one but

I must pay more attention to how it's said because I didn't notice it was "ones with the fewest votes are at risk of being dumped." Maybe they'll dump four people, but I think the girls picking boys to go and vice versa is almost a given.

I can't decide how it's going to go, will be waiting for first look to see if there is any hint of things to come....

I can see very easily why nobody wants to couple up with her.
She comes across as very very loud, pushy and tone deaf.

She is good looking enough but is neither sexy or cool.
She’s like a preschool/nursery school teacher, she’s totally on the wrong tv show.

I recon what happened was the producers expected Danica to pick Charlie, and then that would have been the bottom 2 couple sorted for the vote. They probably told Jay to have that strongly worded conversation with her bit didn't expect her not to listen to him at all.
Now they are going to have to find a way to get rid of Charlie & Danica, like others have said probably through the contestants choosing.

But WHO will genuinely be interested in her? Someone who doesn’t like to speak? Someone who likes bossy people? Somebody who is hard of hearing and doesn’t mind being spoken AT loudky?? Somebody who doesn’t want someone sexy or cool? Someone who never wants a chance to be heard?

That type of person will never apply for LI.
Her personality is not suited to the show at all. The producers f*cked up selecting her for the show.

I actually think she will calm down, I think she's overcompensating at the moment, but I think the producers did a MUCH worse job with bringing Charlie on the show

Even though I hate it and think it's lame I am listening to the Love Island Morning After podcast as I'm a desperate saddo and they are talking about how the Islanders can text each other on their phones... I knew this and forgot.

There is a ton we don't see. They also have to take their microphones off to go in the pool so whenever they want to talk and not be audiorecorded, they go in the pool! Apparently some people spend a lot of time in the pool!

They also have days off once a week to do day trips outside the villa and lunch and dinner is eaten with cameras off so they can have music and talk to producers and chat.

I didn’t know that and am really surprised.

Why would they allow this? There are enough locations to go to chat privately.

I presume they are not allowed discuss voting but I’m sure it’s easy to use code words once people are close enough to each other to pick up certain things.

If so, it changes things.

FINALLY got caught up after being like a week behind! So thoughts are

-Why the fuck can’t ES say Davide’s name properly? It’s not exactly difficult to pronounce and I can feel myself getting pissed off every time I hear her call him Daveeday. If I were him I’d be correcting her non stop.

-That Croydon facelift all day every day must be absolutely killing Indiyah’s scalp! Such a refreshing change when she had the long dark wig on and she looked absolutely stunning.

-Danica just has no self awareness whatsoever does she?

-Tasha is clearly used to being the girl all the guys want and doesn’t like being on a more level playing field. Serious spoiled brat vibes in general.

-I really like Antigoni, she seems mature and I love that she has a bit more flesh on her bones and her hair is just amazing.

-I feel sorry for Charlie, he seems a nice enough chap but just has no appeal to him at all.

-Favourite couple is definitely Damiyah, they’re both level headed and sensible and seem to have a really natural flow between them.

The producers can see all the texts so it probably helps them with storylines and knowing what to get the cast to do and say.

I don’t think they actually do text each other very often though, I remember one year some guy and girl were doing it and they broadcast the messages so the producers must be able to read them as well.

Trying to work out what’s going on with Danica, she’s got the looks but absolutely no subtlety. She carries out her chats with the guys like she’s doing business deals, maybe she’d be better on the apprentice? 😂

Regarding previous discussions. I've always said how it's stupid, how much interaction and staging they get from the producers/ Crew and seeing the camera men all round the decking garden.
Opposite of no contact with the outside world. Probably makes it all self conscious and over thinking and camera aware.
None of which makes good viewing.
Any real relationships aren't shown 😔

Series 2 was still about the couples and recoupling fakeness. But it was the best series for natural interaction and all the different kinds of relationships and general gossip that of course goes on in these types of shows. The pool and bedroom was so much better.
Series 3 had way more glamorous slick to it.

Seemed pointless to the viewers and just a nice perk for them. I think it's cos that generation were so phone obsessed and social media selfie that. They take photos all the time too. Again really not interested in seeing posed photos of them.
The whole point of no phones in other shows is so they actually talk in real life and not stare at the phones.
Producers are all like 24 years old.
Even if they aren't texting much its still not needed and could have been stopped.

I think Danica is attractive but like others have said her manner is very business like almost like she’s conducting an interview, there’s nothing flirty or natural about how she talks to the boys at all. She seems to talk at them a lot and doesn’t seem to pick up when they are not interested although I do feel a bit sorry for her as hard to come in late when people are already coupled up.

I like Antigoni, she seems very down to earth and genuine so I hope she stays.

I like Davide and Ekin Su as a couple and hope they stay in, Ekin Su might be a bit crazy but at least she’s got a personality and I think they are a good match for each other.

I don’t think Gemma is really into Luca and can’t see that lasting on the outside.

I love Indiya and Dami and they seem the most genuine couple and nice people.

Tasha acts a lot younger by throwing strops, Andrew seems genuine and I think really does like her but I wish he would stand up to her more.

Don’t really feel that Jacques is being honest, I could also imagine him being quite nasty. Think his head could be turned in Casa Amour.

Feel a bit sorry for Charlie as no one fancies him but seems nice enough. Can’t see the appeal with Jay, he may be good looking but haven’t seen much in the way of personality but don’t think there’s anyone he’s particularly interested in anyway.

I think Danica and Charlie will go.

nobody wants Charlie because I’m sorry but he’s just not attractive. He’s so wooden! It was so cringe when ES kept saying “oh my god you’re so funny! You’re so funny!” a week ago.

Danica, I just can’t fathom how she didn’t see what she was doing.

luca and gem I believe are into each other. Luca is less cheery lately though, a bit less funny banter, it looks like the place is getting on his nerves.
