And will we find out before the summer break ?

Probably not. Because Wimbledon starts next week.

Letherbridge University looks well dodgy to me. Students almost blackmailing the staff.

FuzzyPuffling · 10/10/2022 14:01

Conversation on the stairwell...how reasonable!!

doctorsnoddy · 10/10/2022 14:03

Don't agree to supervise him Miriam

FuzzyPuffling · 10/10/2022 14:03

I'd ask Leon why it has to be her?

doctorsnoddy · 10/10/2022 14:04

Indeed. What a jerk

FuzzyPuffling · 10/10/2022 14:04

Ooops, there she goes.

FuzzyPuffling · 10/10/2022 14:05

Yusuf's leg looks a lot better. Magic antibiotics!

FamilyTreeBuilder · 10/10/2022 14:05

World's quickest acting antibiotics.

Lying on the bed unable to move, one tablet, 20 minutes later up and doing a runner.

doctorsnoddy · 10/10/2022 14:06

Obviously just what he needed!

FuzzyPuffling · 10/10/2022 14:06

No wonder everyone demands them from their GP!

doctorsnoddy · 10/10/2022 14:08

Dishy detective is stitching Roxie up!

FuzzyPuffling · 10/10/2022 14:08

Why are all sex workers called "Roxy"?

doctorsnoddy · 10/10/2022 14:10

Scarlet it was you that brought Sid in!

FuzzyPuffling · 10/10/2022 14:12

Well there's a happy ending. Quick turn around for snippy Leon and the English department doesn't lose funding.

doctorsnoddy · 10/10/2022 14:13

Alls well that ends well eh?

FuzzyPuffling · 10/10/2022 14:13

That episode gets 3/10 from me.

doctorsnoddy · 10/10/2022 14:17

I strongly agree with your third statement! 😂

I am catching up on episodes I have missed, due to finally getting Covid - started feeling rough Thursday afternoon, and could barely move by Friday afternoon.

Ds caught it 2 weeks ago- for the 3rd tme. None of the rest of us have had it at all- til Dh tested postive last Tuesday.

I am now lounging on the sofa feeling sorry for my self- it's about as far as I've got for days Grin

Well, I've caught up. And as expected copper is a nasty piece of work. (At least Emma avoided getting arrestedGrin)
Felt sorry for Scarlett- she's very naive , but she did try. Her heart is the right place, and given her own financial position, trying to help someone like Yusuf was admirable. She could have ended up in a lot of trouble though- not least for the way she keeps talking to her bosses.

I did spend too long trying to figure where I recognised 'Miriam' from. (Caroline O' Neill- Win Thursday in Endeavour). She has obviously been in Doctors before though Grin

The Princess/Jimmi/ FME episode made me cross. Just how long have we got to put up with her? Jimmi was her boss in that situation nad she undermined him, and I'm sure srting out legal representation for a suspect is not allowed. Shes meant to be impartial (even if she's not the actual FME).

Ah bless you Raahh. I do hope you begin to feel a bit more human soon .

MadisonAvenue · 11/10/2022 12:30

Hope you’re soon feeling better Raahh

I had it back in January and I felt rough for a couple of hours, had a nap and all symptoms had gone when I woke three hours later. My husband and our younger son came down with it a couple of days later.

I had it again last month and it really knocked me about (I’d had a booster in May so was up to date with vaccinations). It was nearly three weeks before I realised that I was feeling better.

I started with a weird dry throat and chest on the Monday which I put down to too much shouting at a football match the day before. The cough started on the Tuesday so I tested and it was negative.

By Thursday I was feeling wiped out so tested again because I was going to another match with my son, I didn’t feel 100% but I didn’t want him driving alone back from Manchester late at night after being up since 5.45am. Anyway, a nap helped and that test was again negative so off we went.

On the Friday my nose was blocked and my throat was sore, and that was when I finally tested positive.

Neither my husband or our two sons caught it, despite the younger one sharing my bottle of water at the match on the Thursday, and our older son so far hasn’t had it at all despite being a teacher and being around germy teens all day.

Raahh · 11/10/2022 12:49

Thank you, both- it really is the oddest thing- we're triple jabbed (and ironically had my booster booked for next week), avoided catching it from Ds over Christmas when it was rampant- and didn't get it off him the other times either. Not even convinced it was him we got it off- my mum, her partner and my gran have all got it now. (and only my step dad has been near our house- and ds wasn't here at the time). It seems to suddenly have spiked around here. I expected to get it eventually- and it really is just like 'bad flu' and could have been so much worse.

Not sure how dd1/2 keep avoiding it- though they could just have been asymptomatic. DD1 had a bad cold a couple of weeks back but negative each time when we test. At least 3 dc are off in dd2's class.

I do feel a lot better today than I have been- mainly because the pulsating headache Ive had since Thursday night has subsided to a dull ache.

(I did think I was just starting with a migraine, to be honest- all the symptomsI had lead to that- and I get a mild sore throat with my period every month, so none of it seemed that unusual). I wouldn't have bothered testing at that point if dh hadn't already been positive.
