I seem to remember some of you are very knowledgeable and legionella (definitely not spelt like that!) Pretty please can you advise? Someone said water should be kept at 60° to avoid it. That's too hot for me so is it needed when the water s used after a day or two?

bingle I've heard the 60° thing too ( probably on here) but have no idea what our water is, was or has been, and I've never got Legionnaires disease in my loooong life!

Don't drink the shower is probably my best advice. ( Although in the olden days it was "don't drink from the bathroom tap because it feeds from the cold water tank in the loft and it might have a dead pigeon in it")

If you have a hot water tank it should be set to 60°C to kill bacteria, it will be cooler by the time it comes out of the taps. Not sure about combi boilers though.
