And will we find out before the summer break ?

Probably not. Because Wimbledon starts next week.

Raahh · 20/09/2022 14:03

FuzzyPuffling · 20/09/2022 14:06

Oh...spa-off.

Raahh · 20/09/2022 14:07

Has Val booked the same spa? Oh nice. Grin

I'm guessing there are no patients to hear Zara threatening to throttle Emma!

LIZS · 20/09/2022 14:09

Hope he isn't putting the knell on Eve's recovery

Raahh · 20/09/2022 14:10

Did he push him in ?

OP posts:
Raahh · 20/09/2022 14:11

LIZS I'm uneasy about all the positivity around Eve.

FuzzyPuffling · 20/09/2022 14:11

LIZS · 20/09/2022 14:12

Raahh · 20/09/2022 14:12

Jimmi is going to take over Sutton Vale?

OP posts:
Raahh · 20/09/2022 14:13

With what money? he gave all the money he had (from the Mill partnership) to his ex-wife.

OP posts:
Raahh · 20/09/2022 14:14

LIZS they definitely have the better staff room at SV.

Not sure there even is one at the Campus.

OP posts:
KilledByWitches · 20/09/2022 14:47

Weirdly the staff room at SV is exactly my old kitchen. Same worktop, cupboards and handles etc.
extra weirdly the kitchen in Zara’s house is my new one.

MadisonAvenue · 20/09/2022 15:11

They have my mugs at Sutton Vale, I’ve seen them use a grey M&S one which we use as everyday mugs and there’s a Dunelm one which my son prefers 😂

FuzzyPuffling · 20/09/2022 18:27

The Gobbys have my bedroom curtains in their kitchen. (Bluebellgray)

Musicalsfan · 20/09/2022 22:56

I think the props department has a box of odds and ends of my dinner service, Marks & Spencer Autumn Leaves. It seems to pop up all over Letherbridge. Heston even used some when he wasn’t using Portmeirion.
There's even a whole dresser of it in The Coroner - belongs to the main character’s mum.

Raahh · 21/09/2022 07:45

Grin we had bits of the 'Autumn Leaves' set at one point. I definitely had the placemats- my gran had replaced all her's for 'Eternal Beau'. Grinwhich then got passed on.
(I remember moving into a student house in my second year at unversity- and I think all of us had at least one 'eternal beau' saucepan).

FuzzyPuffling · 21/09/2022 08:09

Oh man, "Eternal Beau". I never reached such heights. At the time it was popular I had small children and our crockery was that red and green "free bowl with every 4 gallons" stuff!

Raahh · 21/09/2022 09:25

I know at home we had a lot of the orange and brown very 70s stuff -that seemed to hang around for years. I think my gran's Eternal Beau set was from when she re-married in the mid 80s.

We had a lot of Hornsea pottery. A brown and black coffee set. I don't think it was ever used! Grin

We had so much bloody crockery we couldn’t move for it.
Mum was a head lithographer for one of the big pottery companies. Her main job was to decorate sets for photographs in catalogues etc and then supervise their arrangement for the photo.

invariably she’d be given the set as nobody else really wanted it. Our cupboards heaved with Indian Tree and Blue Willow etc. She also did work for Bill Wymans Sticky Fingers restaurant so we also had all of that too.

We had more mugs than people we knew, and all the family had the same because they’d been given bits by either mum or someone else who worked in the industry.

Madness. And probably why almost all the crockery in my house is a nice plain white 😂

Raahh · 21/09/2022 10:59

Killed that sounds funGrin

My mother is the same though- she hasn't had anything since the early 90s that hasn't been plain white Grin
We have a mix of all sorts of things I have acquired over the years but mostly it's Ikea white Grin

OP posts:
MadisonAvenue · 21/09/2022 12:14

LOL Raahh, our plates and bowls are Ikea grey. Basic but it does the job.

My sister had loads of Eternal Beau, even down to the salt and pepper pots.

Right, I’d better watch yesterday’s episode. I intended to watch it last night but it didn’t go to plan. Our oldest son moved in with his girlfriend of 5+ years last month and they’ve now split up so he’s moving back home on Saturday. He came to pick up some packing boxes last night, took up the offer of staying for dinner and then sat marking books until 10pm (he’s a history teacher). Just as he was going my Dad phoned to ask for help as my mother had fallen, she was okay but he couldn’t move her. They’re 89 and 87 and their health is failing by the day. To see them now it’s hard to believe that they were so active before the pandemic.
