Has anyone seen this? I'm watching episode three at the moment and it's just so shocking and disturbing. I've always found bizarre/extreme religions interesting but somehow had no real knowledge of FLDS. Each episode seems to get worse.

Oh and to steal people's successful businesses and get free labour from the boys

It is baffling how someone not conventionally attractive or particularly charismatic was able to take over from his father and have everyone believing in him.

i watched the handmaids tale thinking could this ever actually happen???? And it turns out it’s been happening all along. Even the costumes!

Just watching this. I read a really good book- Educated by Tara Westover. It's a true story of a woman who escaped a family like this. Harrowing but excellent.

have watched three episodes it’s absolutely sickening! I just can’t wrap my head around the psychology of why people believed it all and stayed committed to it
