Just been on to catch up on what I'd missed and the thread has gone?! Anyone have any idea why?

I find Gemma really rude. She's pretty but I don't think she's coming across as very likeable. Paige is my favourite so far. She seems genuinely fun and positive.

So is this the new thread then? Sorry haven't RTFT as rushing out to work but do we know yet why the original was deleted?

IMO Gemma has the personality of a privileged daddy's girl whose RL development was further hindered by lockdown plus the Instagram effect, what you'd expect really. She'll probably grow out of it ....eventually.

I think Gemma’s too young and immature to be on, she’s coming across as a spoilt mean girl. The other girls are all really likeable. I’m surprised Davide picked her, especially saying his ex was older, but he’ll know who her dad is and is hoping he’s backed a winner! I think the fish man is my favourite boy he’s quite funny. Think Eggy sue will have the pick of the boys, not sure about the other one!

Let’s hope he’s not in there for anywhere near 8 weeks. At the moment he seems to be a caricature. He thinks his looks alone will be enough to get him through life.

I don't think (most) people dislike Gemma for being confident or attractive but more so the rudeness. She was very rude to Luca, when Paige was talking last night and Gemma looked so disinterested and talked over her. She's generally been quite unpleasant, her looks fade quickly when she has a face like a slapped arse all the time.

Just catching up now, seems like a good group this year and I liked the twist of the public voting for the first coupling. Davide is attractive but so bloody boring basing his personality around being Italian- big whoop. I think Gemma might surprisingly be one of the first to go.

Just watching the first one! Just watching the chat between Gemma and her bloke (Liam?) and understand why she's coming across a bit unimpressed- his first thought when she showed some understanding of football was that she had been with a footballer. That would piss me off, she might be a player herself! I speak quite an unusual language and so many people go 'ooh how come you know that, have you been with a man from there?' and it feels quite insulting!!

I don't expect Gemma has a lot of girlfriends, I think she's probably spent too much time around yes people in her formative years. I saw a photo of her with her family earlier and she looked the same age as her mum (I suspect some of that is mum trying not to age but you get what I mean).

Anyway, back to Eggy Sue, she has 353K followers on insta despite only posting 129 photos, of which she is pretty much fully dressed in all....impressive!

Having a look around some of the other insta profiles and I'm actually weirded out by Gemma's photos from when she was say 14-16, she looks so much older, poses WAY older, it's a bit ugh....my dad would have locked me in a dark room until I came out wearing a neck to ankle frock!

I missed the voting last night, didn't get the notification it was open so will need to pay atention when I'm not watching live 😬

She probably did a cleanse of her Instagram page before love island and got rid of a load of photos which is why she has so few. That's what they do for their "image".

In his dreams! Jamie Dornan has the biggest soulful eyes that you could fall in to. Davide has small piggy eyes with no eyelashes.

My of course not was to the Maggie/Malgorzata, that's shortening/changing someone's name. Like if I meet a James, I won't call him Jim unless he says he prefers to be called Jim....Elizabeth to Liz etc.
