I want something easy to watch, with as many seasons as possible.
I love This is Us and Offspring, for example. That’s the type of stuff I need right now. I can’t find anything though. I already have Prime, Netflix and Disney but I’ll subscribe to anything for the right show!
Please recommend something to me, pleeeaaaase!

I've just rewatched Mistresses on BBC iPlayer. It's so long since I first watched it, it was like seeing it for the first time .

Have you watched Schitts Creak? We loved it.

Young Sheldon

All of us are Dead

I also enjoyed Inside Number 9 and Ghosts on iplayer.

Schitt's creek is delightful and a very easy watch

Yes, totally agree!

Similarly to Modern Family, which has been a family favourite here.

Ozark

Alias Grace

The Sinner

HAve you looked at any Walter Presents

WellTidy · 21/05/2022 07:46

Modern Love on Amazon prime. Beautiful stories, all stand-alone half-hour episodes, but some of the characters reappear.

PortiaFimbriata · 21/05/2022 07:53

Seconding Ghosts, Derry Girls, Starstruck, The Windsors and adding Call My Agent if you don't mind subtitles.

Inside Number 9 is brilliant but sometimes distressing so I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

Def Shtisel on Netflix - subtitled but it doesn’t matter.
Here We Go on iplayer - funny family comedy
Greys Anatomy - I started watching in lockdown- first few seasons are great

DesdamonasHandkerchief · 21/05/2022 15:11

Thirding Ghosts, I absolutely love it.

If you want a show to love with multiple characters to root for, beautiful writing with a delightful lightness of touch, natural unforced wit, a great Americana soundtrack, the most realistic depiction of a healthy long term marriage you've ever seen, some excellent, understated (partly improvised) acting from an amazing cast including younger versions of few you might know in deeply realised characters, 78 episodes to settle into and an uplifting depiction of the challenges of growing up and parenting .. you need Friday Night Lights in your life. Don't be put off by the ostensible subject matter because... all of the above.

It's on All4 and Freevee, I recommend watching on the latter because there are far fewer ads, plus it has the full final episode while All4 has a shortened one.

I gave in and started watching it (I had similar reservations as this writer www.nylon.com/articles/texas-forever-friday-night-lights-greatest-show-television) when I got covid in December, it quickly went into my top three of all time, and I've watched the whole thing through twice already. And I am picky.

Bonus Family - Netflix

My favourite

It looks like it is only available to buy on Prime, iTunes or Google, I just checked on Reelgood. It's been around for ages so probably used to be free.
