Can't see a thread on this. So starting one.

OP posts:

Wee boy was shite.

Comedian was okay but knowing he's already got stuff on prime is a bit of a slap in the face for the other people.

Amanda said something about wanting another female in the final. How many are there?

Prettypussy · 04/06/2022 01:00

The conservation kid is just the stuff that school assemblies comprise of- nothing special and not an actual talent...

RachelGreeneGreep · 04/06/2022 01:15

MrsElm · 03/06/2022 20:50

Thank goodness for that! I found her quite disturbing 😳

You and me both. And it was not at all entertaining to me.

Heckythump1 · 04/06/2022 07:28

I didn't find Axel the slightest bit funny in his audition or his semi-final.

Disappointed the Handerson's didn't get through to the semi's as I was cackling at their audition and it was something a bit different!

Does anyone else think the Phantom was X/Mark whats his face, back for another go?

Who do we think the Wildcard(s) will be? I think Immi will be one of them.

Piggywaspushed · 04/06/2022 07:33

I say this every year but the issue with dance acts and the home vote is the cinematography and staging. Their costumes faded into the over fussy sets and the camera swooping about and cutting away means we don't see it as it is seen in the theatre , which is what it is staged for. This doesn't matter for singers and comedians - and so they do better. It is really unfair on the big dance acts.

I think the problem with last nights dance act... IMB or whatever they were called, was there was just too bloody many of them on the stage, it was just chaotic and not easy to follow!

Piggywaspushed · 04/06/2022 07:55

Do you not think a static camera would have shown the shape of what they were doing better? There is no doubt at all that it was impressive in the theatre.

Soubriquet · 04/06/2022 08:35

Haven’t seen last nights yet but I also think Immi should be a wild card.

She was robbed that night. She is absolutely brilliant and I couldn’t believe she didn’t go through that night.

ahunf · 04/06/2022 09:28

Worst series so far. Just cringe. They can't do another surely?

Simon is just looking for the latest girl / boy band to sign.

How many of the acts weren't British though? Quite a few.

It's embarrassing to say how many went through to the semis. Britain obviously doesn't have that much talent.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 04/06/2022 11:57

I get carried away with my soft spot for bairns sometimes so aye, a bgt kids would sort it.

There must be untapped talent in this country. Having folk on who have already cracked it/half cracked it just doesn’t seem to be in the spirit.

RedRuby152 · 04/06/2022 13:55

Do you think a lot of children get further due to their age? I've argued no a lot but I can't help see the conservationist getting through to the final and think so especially with the inclusion of the scooter boys and that Dante. I just feel like if they were adults there's no chance they get through.

LightningStar · 04/06/2022 13:59

I wondered that @Heckythump1.

Morenamesandpasswords · 04/06/2022 14:20

There needs to be a bgt for kids and make the main one over 16 only.

the number of talented people that don’t make it through because of the cute kid is a shame. The kid might be good for their age but in general they usually aren’t very good

Fizbosshoes · 04/06/2022 14:35

We are pretty cynical here and think you've got a greater chance of getting through with very little less talent if you're under 12 or over 70.(and/or have a sob story )
I'm not convinced the little kid talking about the environment was one of the most talented people in the competition but if I'm brutally honest, if he was 20 years younger, and judged solely for his singing the, the Chelsea pensioner making a guest appearance, wouldn't have got a look in either.

GrandTheftWalrus · 05/06/2022 14:06

I really hope loren doesn't win tonight.

Soubriquet · 05/06/2022 15:43

I’ll be pissed if Loren wins tbh

I think Immi will come back as a wild card

I also think it might end up being between Loren, Tom Ball (the male Susan Boyle) and Eva

balletmuffin · 05/06/2022 15:56

The wild card has been announced. It’s not Immi. It’s the lady with her dogs.

Aren't there normally 2?

balletmuffin · 05/06/2022 16:36

This is on the BGT Facebook page which I assume has been written by a family member. There has been a bit of an outcry about the wildcard announcement this morning and that Immi wasn’t invited back.

Hello everyone, it’s been like the awakening for me.
The realisation overnight of the overwhelming support and love for Immi is apparent across social media. Most of you are probably already aware by now that Immi has not been invited back to BGT as the wildcard to perform in the finals, although at times it did seem like she was the likely candidate.Despite Immi’s disappointment she only has praise for BGT.

The whole BGT experience nonetheless has been immense and by far the best thing Immi could have participated in and it all began approximately one year ago when she applied. Since October it’s been a mass of auditions, callbacks, rehearsals, additional voice coaching sessions, practice sessions, secrets, a huge part of Immi’s life that due to contract very few people have been made aware of outside of Immi’s LIVES. I can assure you though that Immi has literally had the best experience taking part and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
Also Immi has grown immensely as a musician and performer and certainly is far better having had the experience with BGT than without.

Immi has met some amazing people and has been treated with professionalism and respect at every step of the way and has even rubbed shoulders with the stars. The exposure alone has been second to none and as a result has helped Immi become verified on Facebook and become known across the world.
Immi’s highlight of the experience literally took place within seconds of her semifinal performance when Simon Cowell (her favourite judge) rushed to see her and told her initially how proud he was of her, then he went on to justify why he believed he made the right decision having asked Immi to sing acapella directly after her performance. Simon asked Immi how she felt she did and he concluded that he thought Immi had a fantastic voice and reiterated that he was so proud of her (I even caught it on video!).

The main purpose of this message to you is to ask that you please keep being amazing. For Immi’s sake please keep being supportive but moreover please continue to set an example for her by being nice. There are some comments that have been made about BGT and more importantly about the other participants in BGT which aren’t nice, whether they have been made within this club, on the BGT page or elsewhere I’d really appreciate it if they could be removed as they do reflect badly on Immi. I’m confident that these hurtful comments haven’t come from anyone with ill intent, but they do need addressing. Immi is so thankful to you all for choosing to follow her journey and champion her so fondly.
You guys are amazing, between us all we will help keep Immi grounded and a beautiful kid inside and out.
We want to also take this opportunity to thank BGT for the amazing experience and more importantly wish each and everyone of the BGT finalists the very best of luck for tonight’s performance and for their future.

Soubriquet · 05/06/2022 17:10

Well I’m shocked.

The lady with the dogs was good but she wasn’t brilliant.

It feels like it’s all been fixed towards Loren tbh.

Soubriquet · 05/06/2022 17:30

I say this every year but if Loren wins, that’s it. I’m officially off BGT

balletmuffin · 05/06/2022 17:32

I’d be surprised if she does win going by Facebook. It seems to be between Maxwell and Tom.

that said….will see what 10 pm brings. I won’t be voting for her.

DevilishDiva · 05/06/2022 17:33

My wildcard would have gone to Junwoo.

I really don't think it's fair if Loren wins, but it's looking like it's been set up that she does.

I'd be happy if Maxwell or Tom win.

Soubriquet · 05/06/2022 17:59

I’m also annoyed the little poetry boy went through

so much talent was passed over to put him in

Heckythump1 · 05/06/2022 18:19

Me too, really bizarre choice for wildcard! Geniunely thought it would be Immi!
