Lovely GOTW.

It's a mcalls 7974 made in a lovely atelier brunette double gauze which I imagine will be ££ per metre.

I've made a couple of M7974s myself and its a really popular pattern. She's done a lovely job of it .

When you make your own clothes the question stops being 'where is it from' and becomes 'which pattern did you use'.

Debra is great - she doesn't seem to get much time on screen, though.

Probably because she's in it longer.

Oof just checked the PPM of the fabric for Mann Yee's dress and its £21 a metre.

I'm still tempted...

I love it too, but really wouldn't suit me. Plus I'm about 30 years too old for it.

I really liked the theme this week. I prefer it when it's dresses and the two piece outfits were all nicely put together even the ones that didn't work out, like Ritchies. There's always a lot of foreshadowing in the comments and I wasn't surprised by his exit or GOTW.

Debra's choices aren't usually my favourites but Patrick and Esme are perhaps seeing more in the detail close up. I thought the effect was a bit lost in the pattern that was used from afar anyway but they seemed in awe of it.

I'm glad Man Yee's worked out, I'm taken to her stuff and I love her personal style.

I liked that the M2M challenges have been suitable for either sex the last two weeks. It's nice that contestants have had that choice.

I do wonder with some of the male contestants why they don't attempt dresses before they come to on. It's not like it's going to be an unusual move for there to be a dress on the sewing bee!!
