Valda is Lynnie's real mum (though Lynne thought she was an aunt but it all came out that she had been given to who she thought was her mum and dad because Valda wasn't married at the time and the real dad had disappeared. And Charlie - Steph's son/Lynne's grandson/Valda's great-grandson - is named after Lynne's real dad who turned up eventually and who Steph was accused of killing.)

I think that is all correct!

She had a sort of romance with Lou but keeps popping up now and again for whatever reason. The Scully's had a huge portrait of her in their living room for ages.
