Moon Knight - new Marvel series SPOILERS!

Hi, couldn't see another thread about this.
So the first episode of Moon Knight, the new Marvel tv series was released today - what did everyone think?
I really enjoyed it. I live Egyptian mythology; thought Oscar Isaac was really good, loved the car chase, he does bumbling idiot very well.
New episodes every Wednesday.

I adored the cinematography in Dune but every time we saw OI we did a Steven-ism (watched it at home, we're not that kind of cinema goer). The whole film was.....a set up? Maybe? Hopefully.

I thought at first it would be Jake but now we've had the flashback I'm not so sure.

It was his partner - Bushman - that killed Layla’s dad

Well...watched 3 OI films yesterday 😍

Not sure on annihilation. Bit odd.

Enjoyed triple frontier even if it was pretty formulaic.

Really looking forward to Wednesday! Any word on season 2?

Don't know how I missed this thread. Good series, excellent last episode, probably the best series (or season) finale in any of the Marvel TV shows so far. Very impressed by Oscar Isaac.

I think Oscar should get some recognition for his performance in this show - he's carried the whole thing (with some assistance from the voice of F. Murray Abraham).

...okay actually that's not fair, May Calamawy has been awesome as well, kind of the Marian to his DID Indiana.

Loved it! Definitely the best marvel series.

I wonder if there will be another series or not? I hope they don’t just pop up for five minutes in blade or whatever. That would be a massive waste.

Jake!!!

Loved that, absolutely loved that. Episode 5 reduced DD to tears for most of it and was one of the best hours Marvel has ever made.

The finale was a bit wonky at times but there’s been so much to love here, not least of all OI’s incredible performance, I really hope it gets another outing.

Mostly I’m just so impressed that they had the balls to cut the entire “Moon Knight defeats Harrow” scene as it’s a blackout 😄

Predictable yet still brilliant reveal at the end that Konshu happily release Marc and Steven because he knows he still has Jake to rely on and the man is clearly psychotic. He’s supposed to be an NY cabbie but pleased they let Oscar use his native Spanish to differentiate the character.

Her outfit rocked, and mostly because it wasn’t all mini skirts and knee-high boots 🙄

Though I’m sure there be some weird fan fiction out there about Layla and Marc enjoying their mutual outfits…

I enjoyed it, but it felt a bit rushed?
I'm glad they had that end credit scene as not revealing Jake was irritating me.
I really hope they do another series & see more of Mark/Steven & Layla & her avatar which was fab.
Why was Khonshu in a suit? Are all the other gods dead? Or just their avatars?

When the main part ended, I turned to DH and asked how could they do a 2nd season if Marc and Steven have given up Khonshu, and where was Jake?
Thank you mid credits scene for answering them for me.
Also, I love that Marc and Steven are now in sync. They need each other and work together seamlessly. The constant switching between the 2 was very impressive of OI.

It was fabulous. DS was 😱 at the credits scene because he doesn't know the story. I'd still love Steven to be my friend.

The more I think about it, the more I enjoyed it. I really hope they get a movie or another series to continue the story - Oscar deserves it, that was a proper feat of acting. I was very confused that all the times I THOUGHT we'd seen Jake speaking clearly weren't him because he's Spanish! Anyway, it was great, episode 5 in particular was absolutely standout. Goodness knows how Marc/Steven and Layla's relationship will work...
