The good place on Netflix

StellaAndCrow · 01/04/2022 13:31

Definitely suggest Ghosts, on iPlayer. Very feel good, (and it's nothing like Rentaghost) and very funny/sweet.

For anyone looking for similar who has Britbox I suggest My Hero - it's kind of terrible, a bit ridiculous - I really like it. Ardal O'Hanlon as a superhero in a relationship with a nurse who works at a GP surgery!

I’m loving Offspring on Netflix
Another vote for Offspring. Loved that.

For anyone who liked this country - you should absolutely watch Witchfinder. Finished it last night, it’s a warm funny hug!

Parks and Recreation!!! I'm rewatching at the moment and it is utterly heart-warming.

Also recommending Love Life. It's fantastic. Great scripting & characterisation. Anna Kendrick is wonderful.

I am on the last episode & forcing myself to wait to watch it!!

I didn't like Offspring but based on the recommendations here I might give it another go.

Some like The Good Place that I initially loved, got a bit tiresome as the episodes went on.

@Seniorandjunior

The Marvellous Mrs Maisel on Netflix. It’s excellent - funny, clever, and quick quips to keep you on your toes. And it looks great, the fashion is gorgeous.
I loved The Marvellous Mrs Maisel too but it's on Prime not Netflix. I don't have Prime so I only managed to see it one summer in 2019 when I had to fly a bit for work & caught up every flight. (Ah, nostalgia)

I love Jane the Virgin. There's a lot of seasons to watch too so you have the pleasure of going start to finish. It's definitely feel good and funny but has serious moments too. Very balanced. Might rewatch actually!

I'm working my way through Brooklyn 99. Light and easy. Also only half an hour long

Love Motherland and Derry Girls

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

On Netflix. Soo funny!

trulyconfuseddotcom · 07/04/2022 07:37

My absolute favourite series recently was We Are Lady Parts on Channel 4 - funny, well-observed, fantastic show about 4 young women in a band. Loved it. So happy it's been commissioned for a second series!
