What TV shows do all your family like?

Trying to find a TV show the whole family will enjoy. (i.e. actually sit and watch together without arguing or demanding to be allowed to go play on a computer!)

The DC are 9 and 13.

Wins so far include His Dark Materials, Bake Off, Would I Lie To You and Task Master (bleeped version).

Can anyone recommend anything?

If you have DC, what programmes will your whole family watch together?

Thanks :)

All those 90s shows are on Britbox

Cobra Kai is brilliant - though my DS is 11. Might be a bit Hmmfor a 9 year old but maybe not. It depends on where you stand with these things. I am quite laid back. Also yes to Friday night dinner and Brooklyn 99.

We tried "is it cake" and the DC loved it. We'll watch it again if they ask for it, but I'm not going to suggest it again, I found the people really over the top and annoying (sorry!).

My DC like retro stuff like Father Ted and IT Crowd. They also liked Futurama (although there are some references to sex)
They also like Star Trek TNG- they love Data and Deanna Troi. We moved ontothe Original Series and of course they love Mr Spock and love to hate grumpy, shouty Bones and Mr sexual harassment himself James T Kirk and laugh at the psychedelic stuff. We are now on Voyager. They don't like the new Discovery series or Picard. Too much going on, all wham bam. The old series are more restful, hopeful and with contained stories. We have good discussions about which Captain you would want to be on a ship with, which Doctor to save you and about the decisions the Captain's made etc. They don't like Ferengi's but we may move onto DS9 next.

Ghosts
Apprentice
The Good Place
This is My House- we all really lived this, a bit like Through the Keyhole but funny.

Ghosts
Big Bang Theory
Young Sheldon

Me, DH and 9 year old DD love the above. We also like Horrible Histories.

Just read the full thread and I’d forgotten about The Middle and Malcolm in the middle. We all enjoyed those too.

Outnumbered. Our DC are 10 and 12 and think it’s hysterical.

DCs are 12 & 14 - We watch In the Factory together, also some quiz shows like Tipping Point, Pointless, Catchphrase. The DCs & DH love The Simpsons. Steve Backshaw's Deadly 60 also popular, as is The Goes Wrong Show. We did watch His Dark Materials together but haven't really found a new series to replace it
