anyone else watching this? I'm really enjoying it. Very clever idea, not sure how it's going to end, or maybe it'll be open ended for another series.

Yes! I’m absolutely loving it.. wonderfully creepy and tense but with some genuine humour too.
Intrigued to see where it’s going, but hate having to wait a week between episodes now!

Supersimkin2 · 14/03/2022 14:58

Obsessed here. Love it all.

Pennox · 14/03/2022 15:10

Me too. Bit close to the bone with my own workplace sometimes but loving it!

Mooserp · 14/03/2022 16:53

@Pennox

Me too. Bit close to the bone with my own workplace sometimes but loving it!
That's worrying!

It's fantastic. And I am gutted I have to wait for the weekly episodes now I am all caught up 😭

Mooserp · 16/03/2022 20:13

I actually quite like having to wait a week and having it to look forward to.

I really want to see Helly on the outside!

I like it, first two episodes were a bit meh, but now enjoying it so much. The way the characters are being expanded is so well done. Really invested in Burt and Irving and the what made the outies all decide to do it-what are they all hiding from)

Mooserp · 18/03/2022 17:12

ooh, just got an alert that the latest (final?) episode is out

EeeByeGummieBear · 18/03/2022 17:19

I’m loving it now- but could quite happily have given up after the first two episodes.
I’m loving watching how they all cope with the weird cultish world they work in. Why isn’t Helly allowed to leave? How come her ‘pity’ makes the decision on something she doesn’t experience?
Initially I was really keen to find out all the answers (what are they doing down there, and as PP said why did they decide it was a good idea), but now I’m just enjoying them (not) work. I know it wouldn’t a great program just watching them work- but they do manage to get away with doing very little, considering the lengths they and the company have gone to to get them into that work situation!)

Time40 · 18/03/2022 17:40

I'm watching it. It's very good, and very weird.

buckeejit · 18/03/2022 22:23

Yes, love it here too.

Netaporter · 20/03/2022 04:25

I was confused by the first episode and was a bit take it or leave it but totally obsessed now. Love it.

DingDongtheWitchisDrunk · 20/03/2022 21:05

I switched off after 5 mins of the first episode. It's just so.....weird.

But do you think I should persevere?

Netaporter · 21/03/2022 01:36

@DingDongtheWitchisDrunk definitely! You can’t drink wine and watch it though, it’s confusing enough 😂

Egghead68 · 21/03/2022 05:42

What are your theories? Do you think Helly is an anti severance infiltrator? (Is that why her outie won’t let her leave?) is the other lady who gave birth the one who got pregnant on the inside at Lumon? (I may have misremembered this). Are the goats what they test the severance chips on? What happened in the great massacres of the paintings? Why are there so few staff in the large office?

Egghead68 · 21/03/2022 06:03

There’s a free Apple book called “Severance: The Lexington Letter” which supposedly explains a bit about Lumon

Mooserp · 21/03/2022 10:24

I think the paintings are just to create a false history between departments, to keep them apart.

With the pregnant woman, I wonder if she went through a severance type procedure when giving birth, so she can't remember meeting Devon or wanting to give the baby a different name.

It is interesting how the huge car park is always nearly empty. And the little sneak peek of Dylan's life was intriguing. Is his work self now going to be wondering about his son? And how was Milchick in his house, and shouting at the child?

Egghead68 · 21/03/2022 12:50

I think I’m going to have to rewatch it as I’ve missed a lot of details.

I agree the empty car park is very odd

Netaporter · 27/03/2022 05:53

Has anyone seen this week’s episode? 🤯🤯🤯

I think this may have something to do with Nazism. The paintings may be those stolen by them? The worshipping of the family does seem very cult-like and the need for secrecy/severance to not reveal what they see at work I think suggests some nefarious activity. Warfare/military strategy etc?

It’s a weirdly compelling watch though.

Egghead68 · 27/03/2022 06:50

Yes I’ve seen it. Did you read the free short book that was released too?

It hasn’t made me think of Nazism. It’s interesting that the severance procedure is being used more widely than just at Lumon e.g. for the rich pregnant woman, and may be being used to keep dead people (Ms Casey) alive, after a fashion.

Do you think Ms Casey lives permanently as an innie in one of those houses on Petey’s map? (Even though they described her as part-time, for some reason)

Egghead68 · 27/03/2022 06:51

The book makes a suggestion about the nefarious activity.

StacyWillis · 27/03/2022 13:14

I've seen it on Apple TV but I REFUSE to watch it. Seems quite silly, tries to show itself as a drama but is completely unreasonable, cannot get behind it. Please someone EXPLAIN why this show is worth the watch.

StacyWillis · 27/03/2022 13:16

Nazi's? What is wrong with this show? Why would they think adding Nazi's to a show watched by a generation who cannot already think for themselves be a good idea? I don't want hooligans running around with their ideas, especially ones that are influenced by this show.

Egghead68 · 27/03/2022 15:20

There are no Nazis!

Mooserp · 29/03/2022 19:28

I don't see how it could keep someone alive, it's the same person and body, just a controlled memory.

What has been said about Mark's wife? How did she die?
