I've found the characters confusing to follow, who is who (apart from Kate). But 3 episodes in, I'll need to finish it off tomorrow eve.

It's fascinating that we have all found the characters confusing , a major flaw in the writing or directing? The two blond ladies are similar looking and so are the two husbands , plus we were not really introduced to them that well to start with ( apart from K and S)

I quite liked the book. I can’t remember the ending but I remember it kept me guessing.

I agree with the pp who said the lot of them should get toasted. Such a miserable obnoxious bunch. The men are supposed to be well off, middle aged and enjoying life but they all come across as a bit sleezy and unwashed. The women are a bit crap too and seem way too uptight to be lifelong buddies ( not buying all the drinking either).
And the kids are pretty unlikeable too.

It's bloody frustrating, why cant grown adults just tell others to bugger off and have a bloody conversation?! 3 episodes in and nothing has really happened, then a quick izzys at the bottom of a cliff 🤨

Tonight I was just about certain which of the other men are married to which blonde woman and the father of which child.

Kate & Sean are the only ones I'm sure of!

I really couldn't believe a middle aged man would just walk into a teenage girl's bedroom like that - most men wouldn't think of it these days.

Jake broke down and told Izzy everything...could it be that Sean is his real dad?
Sean ran after Izzy in the fire...did he or Jenny push her?
All revealed tomorrow then 🧐

The way they were all just aimlessly running 🙈and Odette sitting there then decides to run to her dad after all! Maybe she was in shock tbf!

They are all awful and don't seem to like each other. As for Kate, is her face stuck ? She has a permanently anguished expression.

I'll be watching the last one tonight though, as hate leaving things up in the air.

Is it definitely not Izzy then? Only watched E1 and E2, so don't know if its revealed in E3? At the end of E2 Kate set up a meeting from Sean's phone, which it looked like Izzy turned up for. So I thought it was her?

On a different note, I think Lucy is the prettiest female actress in the show and I am more worried about her and Jake's unhinged behaviour than who is shagging who tbh!

So if Sean wasn't having an affair with someone there on the holiday he'd have got a 'wtf' message back from Coral wouldn't he - or might he have but everyone got distracted with the fire?

But the bigger question is just why is Jake such a dick? What's his story?

What an awful bunch of characters. Not one redeeming quality.
Dialogue is awful and just so unbelievable

So I'm going to give myself un point for guessing the sexting/well sex tape thing for the teens.

On that basis I am sticking with my donated sperm theory (hence the open condoms weren't 'technically' Sean's, he was just using them to give to Izzy full of his scuzzy stuff for her to impregnate herself and in return she was giving him loads of cash because he and the missus are skint. 'Put it on the cards!')

They are all (blonde cloned foursome, Sean, kids) keeping something from Kate coz she is a copper and they are all involved in something illegal that they cannot divulge lest she is morally obliged to dob them all in.

They did in fact all perish in the fire and this all a 'dream' - hence the flashbacks. (Apart from Odette who is like Omen kid - O name, see).

I agree re the dialogue. SO easy to write - 'We need to talk. I'm going to tell you something crucial and relevant to the plot" "Hold that thought, I'm just going for a swim first..." But SO frustrating to watch.

Argh. See the thing I loved about Chloe was that I didn't much care about the destination, I just loved the journey.

Her, it's all about tell us the ending and put us out of our misery. (Obvs I realise we don't HAVE to watch but is super fun pulling it apart).

I can tell the blonde women apart (one is Swedish for a start) but the husbands are totally interchangeable.

WTF was Alistair doing with Lucy? As a school / college / uni lecturer surely he’d know better than going into her bedroom and putting his hand on her shoulder?

Somethings gone horribly wrong with Jake - he’s swinging between being the bastard teen from hell and horrendously miserable. I don’t know whether to hate him or feel sorry for him.

Looking forward to finding out what’s going on tonight
