A thriller staring Jill halfpenny as kate who discovers her husband Sean (Owen McDonnell) is having an affair with one of her friends who they are on Holiday with

Kate Sean and their two kids Lucy and Daniel are hoping to enjoy some sun

Kate discoverers a text on Sean’s phone

The drama follows kate as she tries to work out who the illicit lover is , as more secrets and lies are revealed

Is it

Rowan whose marriage is going through a rocky patch

Jenny who had a fling with Sean before he got with kate

Izzy who is in a new but complicated relationship

It does look very miserable and tense for everyone. They all seem somewhat unlikeable characters especially the men.

Interesting that Izzy turned up at the meeting point that Kate had set up on Sean’s phone. But then in the first episode when he went to pick her up from airport he stopped the car at entrance to villa and they embraced in the car as seen by the little girl.

But yes what on earth is the “catch” with Sean. Don’t see it myself.

Oh I didn’t know this was on! Read the book I remember liking it but not much about the plot…where can I catch up?

Argh, they're all so unlikeable. And so mumbly. I would appreciate some enunciation.

Also gah to having to pause to try and read the text messages. V tedious.

That aside (oh but also urgh to Sean. He just looks so grubby, and not in a sexy-good way, but in a literal grubby, dirty, unwashed way). Also lol-ing at them having been at uni 20 years ago making them all 40. Ha.

Oh also, it is odd that Swedish Jake's mum chose a J name coz in Swedish it would be pronounced Yake. Dunno, that kind of irks me.

Anyway, as I am not enjoying the interactions or the characters, I shall play the who is Coralgirl guessing game and why is Sean being so secretive?

Um, maybe it's not an affair. Maybe he is doing a favour for Izzy (hence the hug in the car when he picked her up). So like sperm donation or some such (her new relationship/reason for moving back is 'complicated'.) Or she could be having an affair with the other woman whose husband thinks is having an affair with Sean (hence why he held him under in the pool). And Sean knows their secret.

Or Sean is having an affair with one of the husbands (Jake's dad).

Or something illegal going on maybe coz they can't tell Kate coz she is a copper.

Kids troubles are sexting or drugs or pregnant.

it's always drugs money or sex. So that covers all bases!

I went back and checked the sign in E1.

It says “private property, no entrance” and “danger of death” with a skull and crossbones, I think it’s because of the unfenced cliff edge?

There’s also a big no smoking sign and red fire buckets, so no guesses as to what’s going to happen there!

Assume the sign means something and what be why a fire

What's with all the skipping from one scene to another when the first scene isn't finished !

The one that stuck out the most was when Kate went up to look for Daniel's goggles in Sean's holdall. She roots around in it and then it suddenly changes to her wandering in the woods looking distraught.

Did I glance away from the screen for a second ? Did she find something ?!

She found a packet of condoms

Enjoying this story - watched the 2 episodes so far. Up to this point I was thinking Sean might not be having an affair but then his wife found condoms.

Maybe Sean is having an affair with one of the other men ? Izzy knows about it and is being supportive?

Why are the C5 characters so Unlikeable ?!
This is such a miserable holiday , so many resenting each other and that little Odette girl would def drive me nuts lol

Def not a lovely group of friends

Or is it so she could meet up with Sean
