Why is NYE always so God-damn miserable in Albert Square?

Oh I cried
But I am really glad that Phil Daniels has left as I love him and was slightly disappointed to see him in enders.

wessexgirl · 01/01/2008 21:18

TheGrowlyGus - dh and I do that singing the name of the prog to the theme tune! I've never known anyone else do that!

(Fave is Dr Who, from singing pov).

I used to love EE but cannot watch it any more; so grim.

forkhandles · 01/01/2008 21:20

yeah a far cry from Quadrophenia

notnowbernard · 01/01/2008 21:21

Ok, glad I'm not the only sad case

What other EE scenes have you blubbed at?

Me: Ethel dying, Tiffany dying...am trying to think of the (many) others

i hope so as i would like to see the bit when he actually died - i was ok watching it then started sobbing uncontrolably - my dh looked at me in horror - poor carly, i think i defo got worse since becomming a mum!

Did only i notice his eyes flicker when they did the slab scene?

sparklygothkat · 01/01/2008 21:26

i cried when jamie and dennis died

notnowbernard · 01/01/2008 21:27

Aha! Yes, I knew there were more!

WestCountryLass · 01/01/2008 21:27

I cried at Tiffany dying as well

I am terrible for blubbing at end of season Casualtys when one of the paramendics usually dies or some such trauma

lulumama · 01/01/2008 21:28

ethel dying was just so emotional.

sonia having her baby on the sofa, with the slaters in attendance was a real tear jerker, so emotional, and what a talented actress

notnowbernard · 01/01/2008 21:30

Lulu, yes! Remember that one well.

And Kat shouting "I'm your Muvvaaaa!!!" at Zoe got me

wessexgirl - oooh - we haven't done doctor who but now thinking of all the possibilities. I guess that could be quite an elaborate one for a duet (background doctor who doctor who with a higher pitched doooooooctttooooooor whhhhooooooo obviously).

Pleased to have found a like minded person!

wessexgirl · 01/01/2008 21:33

Ha ha, exactly so, GrowlyGus - I do the high-pitched keening while dh does the lower register 'Dr Who, Dr Who' repetitions.

I'll get me coat .

Thanks for the validation, GG .

LynetteScavo · 01/01/2008 21:34

I didn't cry tonight, maybe I've hardened up as I sobbed for several evenings when Mark Fowler died. DH got quite annoyed and kept saying "IT'S NOT REAL!"

lulumama · 01/01/2008 21:35

oh yes.... her slap nearly cracked, such was the force of her shrieking !

notnowbernard · 01/01/2008 21:36

Don't remember Mark departing... might of been during one of my abstinent periods (I do try)

OP posts:
sparklygothkat · 01/01/2008 21:37

ooo the kat and zoe slater 'i'm your muvvvaaa' one was showed on the day i gave birth to dd2.. remember watching it while in labour

notnowbernard · 01/01/2008 21:42

Did watching it induce labour, SGK?!

OP posts:
sparklygothkat · 01/01/2008 21:45

lol no, i was in hospital having contractions every 10 minutes..

notnowbernard · 01/01/2008 21:47

...And Kat'sscreeching sped them up to every 2 mins
