Another one here sticking up for Elizabeth. She is sometimes vile (remember the whole inheritance business?) but in this case all she did was give truthful and non-controversial answers to police questions, which the defence lawyers seized upon as is their wont.

Kenton is an unreconstructed plank. Even planks do the right thing sometimes, just through the operation of obscure statistical laws.

not sure what else elizabeth could have done either - I think its quite clever the way whole storyline is showing up how difficult this kind of trial can be in so many ways (not just for cathy)

Yes, sorry, poppy - St Shula said something deeply empathetic to Kathy (at Lynda's party) indicating that she knew what had happened - Kenton had previously told Shula he was furious with Lizzie for saying anything about it, and had been fairly brisk with her about it already at the party.

And to answer your previous Q, TBH I can't remember what precipitated the trip but yes, he had gone back to Oz to visit his daughter.
