Our Girl Thread 63 "Our Girl Revisited and then what?"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and galloped through three series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are now revisiting series 2 of Our Girl and are trying to decide what to watch after that.

Of course, as we will see, keeping him alive is a major plot device

They stop the truck and save the baby.

That poor woman and now her husband is gone

They are under attack, just when they thought they were on the way home.

So Throbber makes his bid to join the paras!

What a way to give birth. If only she knew what had happened to her husband.

It's all a bit of a game to Throbber though he does save the day really.

It's the success music - Molly's winch, Georgie/Elvis winch and Throbber saves the day.

Oh no, Fingers................

Oh dear, Fingers realises he is hit. Poor Georgie.

I like how they repeat the music from earlier scenes / series.

Man down and it is Fingers.

That actually made me a bit teary....

This is so sad.

Have to say that was a really good episode. Lots of content and of course all Blue's one liners

Brilliant episode.

I think at the time I thought Fingers would make it though. I wonder if he knew when he signed up for this series what his fate would be.

He had a good story arc from really green squaddie in Series 1 to maturing, settling down and being more wordly-wise. It was a terrible shame he didn't make it back to Blighty and Marie.

Great episode though, one of the best.

I may have said this before, but it would have been much more convincing he they taken out Elvis this way. This series is SO righting the mistakes of series3 as far as possible - without going down the Bobby Ewing in the shower route.
