Our Girl Thread 63 "Our Girl Revisited and then what?"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and galloped through three series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are now revisiting series 2 of Our Girl and are trying to decide what to watch after that.

She was a teacher earlier this week to Prof.

Ilovelblue · 30/03/2022 21:37

I sort of agree there eejit. Blue doesn't have Elvis's good looks but I do like him.

How handy that there's an internet connection in such a hovel for Mimi to check what to do during childbirth.

Yet another great one liner from Blue "It never happened to Andy McNab".

Kingy gives Lt Hurst the nod to say good decision.

Rhubarb01 · 30/03/2022 21:39

I always thought they would end up delivering a baby eventually. It's an obvious scenario really.

Ilovelblue · 30/03/2022 21:39

Some straight talking there from Blue to the Afghan guy

Mimi is doing okay all things considered. Prof has cottoned on to Mimi's lies.

Magi84 · 30/03/2022 21:40

I am just a little surprised Georgie isn't an expert on xhildbirthbsge is on everything else

Ilovelblue · 30/03/2022 21:40

Prof is on to Mimi's lies.

Yes - given how good she was with Rab’s lung thingy

Rhubarb01 · 30/03/2022 21:42

Blue talks about Elvis and a mission they did together. He mentions that Elvis died in a trap. Georgie didn't know it was a trap and he says the authorities knew about him and didn't do anything.

Rhubarb01 · 30/03/2022 21:43

Georgie wants Omar brough back alive, not killed during an action. She wants him to face proper justice.

Ilovelblue · 30/03/2022 21:44

How much must Blue's admission that the higher ups knew Elvis had died in a trap affect poor Georgie.

I like the double tap.

Rhubarb01 · 30/03/2022 21:44

The stars in Afghan - just like series 1. Ah, so many what ifs here. Still love that Fingers is there for her.

eejittwo · 30/03/2022 21:45

Is her mascara running?

Ilovelblue · 30/03/2022 21:45

Fingers understands.

Keep noise to a minimum - tell the labouring woman to shut up...good luck.

Ilovelblue · 30/03/2022 21:49

Tense time here.

Rhubarb01 · 30/03/2022 21:50

This is a good episode, apart from the obviously not so good ending.

Magi84 · 30/03/2022 21:50

Real hold your breath moments

eejittwo · 30/03/2022 21:52

At least it’s for real, and not one of these tedious exercises.

Ilovelblue · 30/03/2022 21:53

I had forgotten just how tense this episode was.

Off they go sending other people to do their dirty work again.

Rhubarb01 · 30/03/2022 21:54

The boys go in and save Dr Bahil.
