I've only just come across this on iplayer and really enjoying it. The nerd in me is loving the dr who refrences (deliberate or not I see them!) and of course binging David Tennant.

Is the series still on tv or was it only 8 episodes. I'm only on part 4.

Really enjoyed the first half of the series, it was almost epic in scale sometimes: the desert scenes etc. quite David Leanish.
It then changed and became much “smaller” and more studio bound. Wonder if filming was affected by lockdowns/travel restrictions?

I've only just realised that the same actress who plays Abigail played Prince Philip's older sister who died with her baby in the air crash in The Crown. She does sound faintly German intermittently.

We loved this, I felt all emotional at the end episode though. You absolutely have to suspend disbelief though - my 9 year old turned to me and said “let’s see how they nearly die tonight then” about half way through!
