Most famous for Rita, Sue and Bob too.

Fubsyinapeartree · 26/12/2007 20:38

he's been in loads of stuff, died twice in casualty I think, but i cant think of him doing anything other than shagging two girls in a car!

MariNativityPlay · 26/12/2007 20:40

He's done loads over the years - saw him in Blood Brothers, he can sing too
Rita Sue and Bob Too has finally been reissued on DVD btw

lottiejenkins · 27/12/2007 18:44

I remember him in So Haunt Me..... Miriam Karlin being a ghost and he and Tessa Peake Jones were in it!!

sockmonkey · 27/12/2007 18:58

Thank you mumsnet! Me & DH were trying to decide where we had seen him before.
T'was a great episode wasn't it!

cornsilk · 27/12/2007 19:07

I thought it wasn't up to the usual standard.

NomDePlume · 27/12/2007 19:12

"Are we going for a jump?"

PMSL.

Rita, Sue & Bob Too. The most toe-curling film ever made.

But whilst on the subject, has anyone ever seen girls do a games lesson in high heels?

Fubsyinapeartree · 27/12/2007 19:40

eh?

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 27/12/2007 20:04

There's a bit in the film where Rita & Sue go out to play tennis at school in their high heeled shoes. But then they bunk off because the lovely George pulls up at the school gates. Bleurgh.

It clearly made an impression on me as I've only seen it once.

cornsilk · 27/12/2007 20:07

Yes it's a gross film.

Fubsyinapeartree · 27/12/2007 20:08

ah!

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 27/12/2007 20:29

Do you have to be so long-winded fubsy?

Fubsyinapeartree · 27/12/2007 20:56

yep

MariNativityPlay · 27/12/2007 21:00

Duchess, though, it's an important film, however gross "Thatcher's Britain with its knickers down" etc
Bit like Letter to Brezhnev, another film that has not stood the test of time
Whatever happened to Alexandra Pigg I wonder? Siobhan Finneran is still going strong at least
And you have to hand it to George, fearlessly repulsive as Bob. Great performance
