A death at work leads boss Sam to unpick recent events

Starting with the arrival of maya

As detectives try to get to the bottom of the death, Sam has to try and work out what happened

Seems another girl Amy died in mysterious circumstances a few years ago after a company party …….

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the hideous and disgusting white boots that Maya was wearing in episode 1 !? I was actually quite traumatised by the sight of them, what were 'wardrobe' thinking? (lighthearted obviously, but they were some ugly boots)

I had high hopes based on The Guardian's reviews...but my opinion was one-dimensional characters, a tick-the-box plot. Perhaps it had been rushed through?

Mayas white boots were horrible , as was the weird Grey smock thing she had on when she met her horrible ex in the office.
It's obviously him that scratched her car up :(

Lots of potentially interesting story angles all mangled up into one unconvincing whole. But I'll probably watch to the end..

Just finished episode 2, and agree with those rolling their eyes at the clunky writing - without wanting to spoiler it for anyone, I've got three of those... items... that Sam managed to spill over Maya, and none of them would do that. They're sealed shut. But that would spoil the cheap gag.

Really hope it picks up in the second half.

I'm quite enjoying it (mind you, the bar's been set very low with the 'thrillers' we've recently watched - The Pact, the one I can't remember the title of but started with the teenage burglar.....etc) and I generally rate Maxine Peake!

Just watched the first one [quite a few dramas on at the moment , can't keep up ! ] . Wasn't keen but they often improve so will persevere.

Haven’t seen. All of e2 yet but feel that sam has hidden a lot /let men get away with sexual imitation 😢

Or has she been sexually harassed as well

I have seen 1 & 2 and it has improved. My issue thus far is that everyone is really horrible (with the exception of Jade).

40 minutes in, first impressions - dreadful script and not particularly well acted apart from Alison Steadman

I am sadly disappointed in it, too . . . I'm half way through the second episode and will probably look at the rest of this and maybe another to see if it picks up.

Alison Steadman usually plays nice characters!
It's strange to see her as a hard nosed business woman.

I thought Amy was the one who died a few years ago as they've been showing flashbacks of her but we don't know the identity of the present one yet ?

LOL - this is not a spoiler - She means the dead body that was thrown over the office balcony - we all know who the girl was who died 10 years ago.

So maya is 2nd dead girl

So Gareth likes young girls and is very unfaithful

Sam is trying to protect Gareth. Not sure why. I wouldn't if I was her

Brian is the Porter from casualty

I'm wondering if Owen killed her. Obv not sam or Gareth

Or maybe even mum aka Alison S as she has had a tiny part in it so far
