I’ve never worked in a prison but even I can tell that most of it would never happen 😂 the main character reminds me a lot of Michelle Keenan’s in Our Girl; bolshy and just does whatever the hell she likes despite working in an environment where rules are important but some who comes out trumps. I can forgive Our Girl though for giving us Ben Aldridge in uniform…

More unbelievable than her sleeping in a cell was making a phone call in there, which I assume others would have been able to hear.

So many binge so by the time we’ve watched it weekly it’s like 6w later

I didn't like it. I cared little about any of the main characters. It was inauthentic and cliched. Like the producers had googled "top three issues facing the prison service" and based a whole series on those things. Badly. Prison officers do a whole lot more than wafting about the wings. So much time and energy is put in with prisoners, so much paperwork, casework etc. I thought it was an insult to prison officers if I'm honest.

I really don't think these programmes are supposed to be a realistic representation!!

Did anyone see last night's episode and can tell me what happened in the last couple of minutes, please? Just watched it but the recording cut off before the end, when I assume we found out something interesting about the woman in charge...

@aliloandabanana Not sure if you an answer. Boss woman said she wanted to speak to graduate entry prison officer. Next thing the alarm goes and new prison officer rushes up the landings. She arrives graduate PO is on floor with red blood patch over left hand side of chest apparently unconscious with Boss lady doing CPR with blood on her. I also think there may have been a gun on the floor but I may have dreamt that.

Jumping on an old thread but I've just got into this and Nina Sosanya's acting is painful.
Is she like this through every series??
