Is anyone going to be watching? I absolutely love it despite only ever having one go at throwing a pot at school, forgetting to take my foot off the pedal and watching as the clay shot off the wheel into the adjoining open-plan science area. Looking forward to the new host too as I felt the last one made it a bit like a vehicle for her stand-up comedy routine.

Oh Nick, shame..

Saucery · 23/01/2022 20:37

Oh dear, Miles’s isn’t very impressive. Even the other broken ones look nicer than that. 😕

Wolfcub · 23/01/2022 20:38

Oh poor Lucinda

HeadNorth · 23/01/2022 20:39

Lucinda’s looked amazing, what a shame about the lugs.

Saucery · 23/01/2022 20:39

Braided wicker would have been better for her handle. She thought the wood had a tiny bit of give in it, what a shame,

Unescorted · 23/01/2022 20:43

I wonder if soaking the heather would have given Lucinda's enough flex to not stress the lugs. Such a shame it is a beautiful pot.

RunningFromInsanity · 23/01/2022 20:45

Lucinda’s is amazing
The cups are beautiful

Saucery · 23/01/2022 20:47

Don’t think she’ll be going home, with that decoration. Wrapped handle was fab rescue.

Iwantacampervan · 23/01/2022 20:47

I love the colours of Lucinda's and the style, not sure about some of the others.

Wolfcub · 23/01/2022 20:47

Bet Keith cries

RunningFromInsanity · 23/01/2022 20:48

He will cry at Christine’s. 100%

Saucery · 23/01/2022 20:50

Tom’s growing on me. I don’t think his slightly sharp humour was edited well in the first weeks, but it’s coming through now.

SoupDragon · 23/01/2022 20:50

Fair play to Lucinda for rescuing her tea pot!

HeadNorth · 23/01/2022 20:50

Christine’s looked lovely, my favourite after Lucinda. I also really like AJ’s.

SoupDragon · 23/01/2022 20:54

Christine for Potter of the Week?

SoupDragon · 23/01/2022 20:56

Surprised at Tom.

Miles has been on borrowed time for the last two weeks.

Jellykat · 23/01/2022 20:56

Yep best choice to go

Saucery · 23/01/2022 20:56

Tom deserved that, his was so clean and precise and simple.

SoupDragon · 23/01/2022 20:58

Miles is right - it is a kind competition

colouringindoors · 23/01/2022 20:58

Lucinda was robbed!

lollipoprainbow · 23/01/2022 20:58

Really like Tom, yes it's a gentle and kind show.

Saucery · 23/01/2022 20:59

I mean, Christine’s was brilliantly executed to show the flowers making it through the firing but it didn’t have the visual impact imo.

TheSpottedZebra · 23/01/2022 21:00

Ah they seemed genuinely fond of Miles.

SoupDragon · 23/01/2022 21:01

I'm not a fan of the matt black bits so that was a negative point of Toms for me.

Saucery · 23/01/2022 21:04

My favourite was AJ’s but I can see why they said the decoration wasn’t Raku-y. Maybe I’m just not a fan of raku! I have a clay horse decoration that I think might be done in a kiln like that - the crackling makes it look like it was dropped and cracked all over, like when you mistreat an enamel mug at Guide Camp.
