Any of the Old (or New) Faithfuls up for a thread to watch some more compulsive nonsense?

This year's line up:

Lighting up the room with their performance, meet Chandelier

Bagpipes - the pride of Scotland will be hoping to hit the high notes (a clue in the costume??)

Hear them roar, it's Lionfish

Doughnuts looks like a sweet treat but will they run rings around everyone who tries to figure out who they are

Traffic Cone - they may be able to stop traffic in this high-vis high fashion costume

Bamboo-zling those who try to guess who’s behind the mask, meet Panda

Rockhopper will be making tweet music in a bid to peng-win

Hoping to go all the way and be crowned champignon, it's Mushroom

Bang! Here comes Firework

Poodle promises to deliver paw-some performances

This singer is snow joke, it's Snow Leopard

Is it a robot? Is it a bunny? No! It's Robobunny

Join in for some mad googling and guessing! Hopefully, I'll know who more of them actually are even with their masks off this year.

Also for Goldie, he co-founded Metalheadz, had a “splash” in a bad waterskiing accident training for a bbc programme, had bleach blond (peroxide) hair in the 90s, and presumably would use software for his electronic music.

I’m sticking with that as my guess now.

Just putting it out there that Panda is Kate Hudson - she loves the outdoors, said it's not the only time she is linked to a panda or been so animated - she did something for one of the kung fu panda films (which is animated)

Oh...after I said 100% Panda is Nelly Furtado, YouTubers are naming another non-British singer and I can totally hear her voice now. Not such a smug guesser anymore, it's 'Courtney Act is Dragon' all over again! Grin

Good one - any clues with birds could give it away. That was her biggest hit I think?

I can make it all fit at least! She talked about always having felt a part of nature = her song I'm Like A Bird. There was also something about finding her way home and in that song she sings 'I don't know where my home is'.

My nerdiest observation was when there were lots of trees in shot...like a forest...a timberland. Nelly had a few hits with the rapper/producer Timbaland.

I love this trash - some of the panel's guesses are terrible: do they really think some of these people would do that show?!
No way but if the panel just reeled off names of people whose careers peaked 20+ years ago, it wouldn't be of interest/entertaining to younger viewers in particular.

I always complain about the stupidly tenuous clues but the Greatest Showman clue for Rockhopper is rather clever, once you knooow (have it spoilered by people trending the name on Twitter!).

My favourite stupid clue will always be S1 Duck's 'I used to be a long-distance runner' and it referred to her doing cross-country running at school.

Just came across this thread, I love the masked singer. I got Gloria Hunniford right, didn't get it from any of the clues but the minute I heard her voice I know it was her, and she's from NI so they dressed her in green.

Going out on a limb here but I think Rockhopper is Nicola Adams, dressed as a ring master in the video clues so got boxing ring from that. And she said she made headlines being the first, she was the first woman to represent England in boxing, the first woman to win an Olympic gold for boxing. Also her dancers dressed in black and white stripes, often worn by boxing referees.

I think Donuts might be David Seaman and Traffic Cone might be Chris Kamara.

@APJ1 - nothing to do with when people's careers peaked. After two series I don't think this is a show only looking to revive or boost their career do. Elon Musk, for example, one of the battiest suggestions ever would never do something like this!

But rockhopper has ridiculously long slim legs. Nicola Adams doesn't.
